Lately, tons of people on the internet have been referring to Sunset Shimmer as their "waifu". She's caught wind of it, but she's confused. What's a "waifu", and why is everyone saying she's better than other "waifus"?

One night Sonata comes home in a love-struck daze, and Adagio decides it's up to her to figure out who (or what) has caught her fellow Siren's fancy.

This story is a sequel to Sunset Shimmer Buys A Burrito
Over a month has passed since the CHS Battle of the Bands. In that time, Sonata Dusk has become estranged from the other Dazzlings. Penniless, she attempts to secure a meal. Luckily, there's a warm burrito nearby. Less luckily, the burrito belongs to Sunset Shimmer. How will Sonata handle being face to face with her old foe?
This is a P.O.V.-flip of Sunset's story. Reading that half first is not required, but reading both is recommended.
Like its twin, this story is part of the Burritoverse continuity.
When Sunset saw Sonata Dusk return to CHS and experience a very familiar treatment, she encouraged her friends to reach out to the Dazzlings just as they'd done with her after the Fall Formal.
Several months later, Aria and Sonata have come to discover some joy in their new life-after-magic. Adagio, however, has continued to refuse the offer—out of bitterness, spite and an unwillingness to give those 'rainbooms' the satisfaction of seeing her break.
What she has yet to realize is that clinging to this resentment is hurting no one but herself.

Twenty two years after their defeat at the hands of the Rainbooms, Adagio has lost contact with her former cohorts. However, when she receives shocking news, she tracks down one of them for another meeting...

Sonata Dusk is kinda confused. Sure, she and the other Sirens were defeated at their own game and left powerless, homeless, and hungry, but Adagio and Aria are taking this whole thing, like, WAY too seriously.
Only one thing is absolutely, positively guaranteed to cheer them up.
It's time for a taco run!

Also now with a TVTropes page (apparently)!
Sonata Dusk decides to spend a day at school, but she's confused about where to go or what to do. Luckily, Sunset Shimmer is such a good student and offers to show her around.
If the sirens had their way, they would have divided and conquered all of Equestria. But a certain Star Swirl the Bearded wasn't having it. Rumor has it he found a way to banish them to another world – one where he believed their magic power would be lost. That world must have been the one where my Canterlot High friends live.
But Star Swirl must have sent them there ages ago. How come they're just surfacin' now?
A cursory look at the sirens' thousand years of history in the human world before the events of Rainbow Rocks. With apologies to Kim Stanley Robinson.
Absolutely no connection to Death and the Dazzlings.
