Mystery presents are nice. Mystery presents with insults written on them are not so nice. After getting so many from some sort of twisted secret admirer, Spike goes on a mission to find out who's sending him these mixed messages.

A silly little something that popped to mind recently and I just had to write down. Hope you all enjoy.

A day after Ember visited Ponyville and claimed they look the same, Twilight Sparkle and Starlight Glimmer pondered if she had a point. To ensure they never get mixed-up again, the two mares formed a plan to stand out from each other more.

They should have gone over the details of how they would do it more.

Realizing that once an ancient dragon got cutie mark, Spike joins the cutie mark crusaders. Is it possible for him to get a cutie mark too?

Princess. Alicorn. The pillar of all ponykind, against which so many ponies often judged themselves. Celestia hates having to constantly be these things, and it's past time for a break. Luna will watch over Equestria while her sister is gone, but taking a break from your duties and taking a break from how the world sees you are two very different matters. Enter Prominence, a quiet pony who nopony really pays much mind to. Perhaps because she doesn't exist.

Aided by this disguise, Celestia will find her peace and relaxation in the home of one of the few ponies who know Prominence's true identity: Princess Twilight Sparkle. But when Twilight begins to see Celestia as a pony, and not a princess, can she deal with the feelings that arise? And are the feelings for Celestia, or for a pony she knows is not actually real?

When Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Spike get together to play a certain property trading board game, they soon find that even friendships as strong as theirs can be put to the test — and that in the dog-eat-dog (or pony-eat-pony) world of board games, there can be only one winner.

AUTHOR'S NOTES

This is just a silly little one-shot I came up with one night, while unable to sleep. Comments contain spoilers.

Following the events of "Traveler," Twilight goes to Canterlot to deliver her report on what has transpired since the Doctor's arrival in Ponyville directly to Princess Celestia. She leaves the Doctor in Spike's capable claws, asking him to show Equestria's newest arrival around town while the TARDIS rests and repairs itself from the trials of the previous day.

Although at first distraught at being stranded in the seemingly serene township of Ponyville, the Doctor finds himself reexamining his initial assumptions about the ponies, the land of Equestria, and his compulsive need to travel when he is confronted with the miraculous, impossible events surrounding Ponyville's resident party mare: Pinkie Pie.

The Pinkie Conundrum is the first in a series of continuity branching off from the foundations established by the Doctor Whooves stories: Number 12 and Traveler by the very talented Squeak-anon and all references to these two works of fanfiction is credited to him. Also, while this is a separate continuity from any future works by Squeak-anon, it is strongly recommended to read these two fictions before reading Pinkie Conundrum.

Pinkie Pie wants to help cheer up Twilight, and decides to write a story for her, with the help of Spike.

Little did Twilight know this was a bad idea from the start.

ETA: I am relieved to state this story predates issues #15-16 of the IDW comic series, which similarly involves book stories coming to life, albeit in a different setup and resolution. Also, as this was already set canonically before the finale of Season 3, I don't consider there any retcon issues with the reveals of S4E4 of the show, as well as working within the premise that S4E6.

Twilight Sparkle has become known for being able to make friends out of many of her and her friends' past foes. And in the wake of the revival of the Crystal Empire, she sets herself the task of helping one more. Sombra, who has survived the attack on him by the Crystal Heart. But, Twilight soon finds that she might have bitten off a bit more than she can chew with this one.
