So I put up a blog post about an upcoming story (then took it down shortly after cuz it's probably too early to be talking about that story) and in that post, I mentioned that I know what I want to do with Prominence, but each time I sit down at my computer to work on it, nothing comes out. I saw someone had added Prominence to a bookshelf they'd titled "I wish these would update :(" and I've decided I should address the issue. first and foremost: I'm working on it. but where I used to be able to crank out half a page every morning before work, now I'm struggling to get a sentence or two out. some days I can't come up with anything. Soooo, my hard drive may be kaput. I'm talking to you from a back up computer. I can write from this one, as I have before, but whether I get my hard drive back in one piece or not after I send it in for fixin' (it's still under warranty until november), I'm going to be starting the whole next chapter of Prominence over from the beginning. so an overwhelming majority of 52 percent said go ahead to the next chapter in the poll I put up after chapter 6. so that's what I'm doin'.

So, my laptop is back from the repair center! Yaaay! Now, the good news is, prominence chapter 6 is already as long as the shortest of the other five chapters. the bad news is, I may end up making that whole day a multipart chapter because it's not even lunch time in that day yet and it's already as long as the some of the other chapters. So, I guess Prominence 6 may just be the first chapter of that day. or maybe I'll just end a chapter and skip a few days. I don't know yet, I don't plan

So, my sole computing device is a laptop I bought back in November. One of the joints is prying the casing apart every time I open or close the laptop, and the guard over the fan is all chipped away, but hey, none of that is a super big deal since it's still under warranty. But to get it fixed, I'd have to send it in for a week or two for repairs. Also it's nice to have an excuse to have them fix the blown out speaker instead of having to shift the balance every time I put on or take off
