Lyra just returned home from the Grand Galloping Gala, completely exhausted from the experience. Bonbon listens to her tale and admits that she wouldn't have been very good company, seeing as she can not dance. The green unicorn was never one to take such a challenge lying down and offers to teach her the basics over a bottle of wine.

Sweetie Drops had a rough first day at school. Things get even worse when the other kids start picking on her, but salvation comes when a new filly enrolls in class and easily becomes the target of the teasing. So easily, in fact, that Sweetie Drops herself joins in.
At first, Sweetie Drops is relieved to finally be left alone, but her mother's warning about teasing others--and her threat of taking away dessert for an entire month--rings in her ears. When she goes to apologize, she doesn't realize the event is actually the start of something much more important.

Lyra Heartstrings, a well renown and skilled linguist and archaeologist at ‘Celesta’s Institute for Gifted Ponies', or as it's known more commonly, ‘Canterlot University’. She has a good job, a good life. Only she is dragged into something bigger by one of her old friends, Feather Duster.

He had been ostracised not too long ago for his newfound and outlandish believes. Only his incessant requests for her help have swayed her into helping him. Only, what he brings her intrigues her. She want's to find out more.

Lyra holds the belief that history is not what's important, not who's important, it's only what we remember.

That begs the question... What could we have forgotten?

Lyra intends to find out.

Twilight was supposed to gather the Elements of Harmony the way Princess Celestia planned it: meet the embodiments of the Elements while running errands in Ponyville, team up with them, discover the meaning of friendship, and then defeat Nightmare Moon. It was all so simple.

Too bad she really underestimated Twilight's ability to screw things up.
