(this is actually an older fic of mine, previously only on Devart and written for a little 2000 word writing challenge. See? Not everything I write is tens of thousands of words.)

Twilight Sparkle has a double dilemma on her hooves. First, it is Rainbow's birthday soon and she doesn't have a present. Second, she really wants to have a relationship with the mare.

The plan?

A week long vacation, each day dedicated to the pegasus. Twilight has a plan of action laid out, and she is certain Rainbow will love it.

But what will become of the relationship between the two close friends?

After returning home from viewing a meteor shower, Rainbow Dash finds a green rock in her room that makes her violently ill when she touches it. As she and her friends work to find out what exactly happened, she will come to learn more about her past, her family, and her place in Equestrian society.

Rainbow has been kind of hyper all day, and is more than restless in her bed. Unable to fall asleep, she deciedes to head outside and take a leisurely flight outside in the full moon. It's a wonderful time to let her mind wander...

I was reluctant to upload this for a long time since it is a very rushed story and in my opinion not very good. It is, however, the only piece I've written that inspired fanart (multiples, in fact), and so I figured, why not?
