After moving away from Clousdale, Rainbow Dash has to face a new school, with new people. This really shouldn’t be a problem for the young girl, however, she doesn’t see herself making any friends.

She believes that she is the abesolute worst person on the face of the earth, and that she doesn’t deserve friendship. All she wants to do is be alone, no matter how much she hates it.

However, there are a few familiar faces in Canterlot Elementary that are willing to show Rainbow that she deserves to know what real friendship feels like, and that is exactly what they plan to do.

It was a depressing time for the planet known as Earth. Germany took control of Poland, France surrendered, Russia was having tough times, South Pacific Islands like Manchuria, India, and the Philippine Islands were invaded by the Imperial Japanese soldiers, and the screams of the numerous people were heard throughout World War II.

A soldier serving the Allied Forces during the Normandy Landings was killed after they had gotten past German defenses. Though he had died, he was given another chance at life; to leave the depressing time and go in to a more colorful life. Specifically in a pinkish color in the form of a pink mare.

All is revealed when Rainbow Dash decides to pull a prank on that same day by sneaking up on her as a joke during the date of her birth... the date of his death.

Princess Luna has only recently returned. After the nearly disastrous celebration of Nightmare Night in Ponyville, she wants to try again. She thinks she can do better this time with Winter's Welcome, the celebration of the winter solstice.

This story takes place not long after Luna Eclipsed (season 2 episode 4).
