Rarity has put on some weight and must now consider the weightier issues of such gains. She will have to realize that she will not get rid of her gains without some pains.

This story takes place during the time skip in the final chapter of Run Without Debugging, but knowledge of that story is not necessary to enjoy this one.

Weddings are beautiful things. For many ponies, a wedding is the best day of their lives. Years ago, Chrysalis, the ex-queen of the changelings, adored weddings as well. Her intentions, however, were less than noble.

Today, she has put her past behind her. She has been (somewhat) forgiven. She has a place in society. She has someone who loves her. The real her.

It's finally time for her own wedding.

She didn't show up.

Applejack knew that Apple Bloom was growing up, and she knew that one day it would be her job to tell her about where baby ponies come from, why she suddenly has weird feelings for colts (or fillies, maybe), and what happens to mares every summer that brings the previous two facts full circle. She just didn't think that time would be now. And she also didn't think she'd have to tell her sister's two best friends about it at the same time.

In hindsight, Rarity probably wasn't the best pony to run to for help.

'You better not be a brat, you better not be selfish for I'm telling you why. Santa won't be able to save you if you do.'. It seems every year someone ignores the warnings...

She's seen dozens of graduating classes go beyond her realm. Graduate and pass off into adulthood, move from her aged classroom and to bigger and better things than what high school could offer them. If their life peaked here, it was not because of her; it was always best to encourage more than a teenage life. But watching so many settle for so little grated Cheerilee to her core.

She'd studied for years to tend to others. Her medicinal skills were perhaps not as fine as the greatest surgeon's, but she knew human anatomy. To heal wounds, to comfort terrified souls, to dispense medical knowledge that would benefit those about her; Redheart was as capable a comfort as she was a clinic, and nothing this school could bring her had managed to best her yet. But to deal with the excess of teenage stupidity and bravado when so many seemed intent on wounding themselves was despairing.

It was tired to watch the world go by, growing older alongside you. Maybe they just needed a breather, and a whispering ear.

Even the town of Appleloosa celebrates Hearth's Warming, and Braeburn thinks it's the best time of the year. Naturally, he can't resist talking about it when he writes letters to Little Strongheart of the buffalo tribe.

Little Strongheart soon becomes quite curious about this holiday, and decides to experience it for herself. To that end, she leaves her tribe and journeys into Appleloosa to spend the holiday with Braeburn, much to his surprise.

Still, Braeburn is delighted to play the host and show Little Strongheart how wonderful the holiday of Hearth's Warming can be. Will Little Strongheart come to enjoy and cherish the holiday as much as Braeburn?

Three words, one mistake, change everything for her. And he is there throughout it, perhaps for her.
