IN WHICH STORIES PROGRESS SORT OF
Hey hey, it’s the first of March! And it was a pretty nice day, too, so that’s a bonus.
Happy Memorial Day! I was planning on having a story ready for today, but ended up getting distracted with reading pony fanfics instead. But hey, six of one, half a dozen of the other, right?
Today’s stories:
Snowed In by OkemosBrony
Deathbed Confession by Dreadnought
This is Not a Drill by Tumbleweed
A Slice of (Cake) Life by Epic Yarn
This story’s weird in that I don’t have a lot to talk about regarding it, but I will start at the beginning.
With a pairing of these two for my Jinglemas story this year, it took quite the restraint to avoid making the obvious pun in the story*: a pun so obvious, the show put it in a Season 1 episode written before Berry Punch had even been designed as a background pony. Light spoilers below for the story, of course; read at your own discretion.
So, I've come to an interesting dilemma.
I'm not a person who swears... like... ever. I can't even bring myself to do it accidentally. I always catch myself and change it to something else like "shoot", "dang", "poop", and even "friggin'".
However, the characters in my story are the kinds of characters that would swear given the situation called for it.
So it's been a whole year since I updated Hand in Hoof. Quite a sobering thought, now that I put it in retrospect. I've really been that horrible of a procrastinator in the last six months.
I'm only stuck at chapter seven so I'm going to change it up just a pinch so yea.... SO.... it's going to take a while. Not sure how long it's going to take... i might find some more reference for a bit.....
Dear Loyal Watchers, Interested Visitors, and Confused Passersby,
Every once in a great while, I'm reminded that the Featured Box can show off stories that are moving and captivating, not just topical and popular.
Every once in a great while I come across a story that makes me blink and wonder "Did I write this? Is this author me in some alternate reality? Why did I not write this in my own reality?"
In case you were living under a rock or somehow forgot to follow this one years and years ago (literally), somehow FimFic Authors Are in Your Bed has risen from the dead!
Did y’all have a nice Labor Day? I got the day off and was productive enough to mow the lawn and poke at some of recent comments I’ve gotten on . . . well, you know.
So now would be a great time to complain about work.

'Tis the season for holiday stress — and for the RCL to be pushing through almost 700,000 words of longfics in our reading queue. That dual crunch has slowed us down, and we're currently working with our pending featured authors on their interviews. But don't worry — we've got you covered!
To Serve In Hell comes back again tomorrow for its final run.
Five days.
Five chapters.
This is it, people. The veil is about to be thrown off. And I am terrified as hell by what lies underneath.
However dark it gets, know that it could so easily get darker.
Not everypony is making it out alive, but I will not do anything cheap to these wonderful and awful ponies who I've had the privilege of writing this long.
I hate admitting defeat.
If you're curious how much I hate admitting it, go look at To Serve In Hell. There were any number of moments over its three-year gestation when I could've just thrown in the towel and walked away. But I just kept clawing my way toward the finish line, however slowly, and however impossible it seemed to get there at times.
I hate admitting defeat.
Luna beckoned her to come to the other side of the room. It formed a stark contrast to the table. Instead of the hard, uncomfortable wood structure that looked like it had been meant for stressful meetings and conferences, there were several comfy armchairs, a long sofa of a wine-red color and small, round tables, each one situated right next to an armchair. Old candles stood on them, burnt down halfway. In the middle was a tiny, fragile-looking table, only a few inches high. It stood on
Be sure to tell the author(s) I sent you there!
Also, this will stare at you until you click one of the links.

The word count keeps growing!
Send help and/or something!
Seriously - this thing's double the words of my longest works.
Ya know, the 30k novellas?
Well this one's 70k and still far from complete...
Accurate portrayal of the author after spotting a typo in a published chapter that was somehow missed.

Steven Universe just dropped the mother of all bombshells, and there are many interpretations on what it means and what it says about Rose Quartz, but I think there's one important things that needs to be said to understand what has happened: Rose Quartz's fatal flaw.
