Almost everypony in Ponyville knows about Scootaloo. She lives with her Aunt Ditzy and her Cousin Dinky and is one third of the trio of terrors that are the Cutie Mark Crusaders. However, almost nopony knows who Scootaloo's mom is. When her mother finally comes home to Ponyville, Scootaloo doesn't want anypony to find out and her friends are determined to learn why. They discover something they never suspected...

An unfortunate accident lands Ponyville's local mailmare in the hospital and her daughter in the care of the town's resident librarian. How will she manage in taking care of the filly? And what is Derpy Hooves hiding?

Finally got around to making a FimFiction account now, so...

It's easy to overlook the kind and caring mailmare who goes about her job everyday. Almost nopony knows about her past for nopony has ever gotten to know her for more than a few minutes.

With a whole day free, Twilight Sparkle spends a day with Derpy as she goes about her daily routine. Eventually uncovering a past that nopony fully understood; not even Derpy herself.

I got two, and waited to get back to my friends car before opening 'em. First was Rainbow Dash, and I was like, "meh, that's cool." Next one, I had expected an Applejack (may have cut a *tiny* hole in the bag with my pocket knife to check. Call the cops, IDGAF), but imagine my surprise when I found a random recolor in her place. Needless to say, I was raging the whole ride home, and my friends have been teasing me about it since.
