A budding love, a new family.

Rescued from her horrible parents by Twilight and Rainbow, Scootaloo begins a long journey of recovery from the years of mental and physical abuse. Now Rainbow’s and Twilight’s adopted daughter, she looks forward to what the future has in store for her. However, Scootaloo's happiness and her life are at risk now that her parents have escaped from prison, fully intent on revenge.

Meanwhile, Rainbow and Twilight try to make their relationship work as they face the difficulties of raising a filly together. To accomplish their dream of a happy family, they all must face numerous challenges that will test the strength of their love and friendship.

A new jumpgate is discovered, or rather a very old and decayed one that had been brought back online. House Hawkwood sends a bold explorer through to discover what riches await on the other end. He did not expect equines to be the result.

The CMCs are on the train home with Twilight and Fluttershy after saying goodbye to Spur and Biscuit. They are very sorry about using up the flower's magic, and are even more sorry for themselves when they see their older sisters waiting for them at the train station. Rainbow, Rarity, and Applejack are livid, but they understand, in their own ways. The CMC's older sisters take the CMCs off on their own after chewing them out as one. Then they have the biggest talks of their lives.

“Non-Compete Clause” never happened. Rainbow Dash and Applejack are frustrated when they aren't chosen for Teacher of the Month. But instead of getting carried away with competing against each other, they ask their students for honest feedback about how they can improve. The answers surprise them.

The Garden of Dreams, a place where a pony forgets and simply wanders. It's a place without pain or sorrow, without responsibilities or problems. A pony is simply an inhabitant of this paradise, until such time when the rarest of moments happens.

You run into a pony from the time before the garden, and remember...

It had been so many years since Lightning Dust was kicked out of the Wonderbolt Academy. She never thought much about those days, nor of Rainbow Dash. Upon meeting again after so many years, Rainbow wants to know what Lighting Dust has been up to.

And so she tells her. She tells her about the parents that washed their hooves of her. About the stallion who became a real father. About the dream she was able to fulfill. And the family she came to love.
