On the longest day of the thousandth year, only Twilight Sparkle really knew what she was getting into. That didn't stop five mares she'd met less than a day before from insisting on tagging along. They'd all go on to be heroes, but it's not like they knew that at the time. What went through their minds on that dark summer morning?

Tempest Shadow had been surprised when Princess Twilight had offered her friendship. She had been even more surprised when Twilight stood up for her in her trial, helping her gain legal absolution from her past.

Now, she is trying to start with a clean slate, turning to the familiar military structure of Equestria's Night Guard. Upon arriving at the New Lunar Republic for her training, however, she finds that legal forgiveness does not mean Equestria has forgotten her past. Now, winning one instructor's good word is all that stands between her and moving forward with her life.

But why oh WHY did Princess Twilight have to send her to a pony so STUBBORN?

As a filly, Vinyl listened to Octavia Melody on the radio. As a mare, Vinyl goes to meet Octavia in person. It goes about as well as you'd expect.

Vinyl Scratch a hard partying pony who enjoys life to the fullest. But how did she get to where she is now? Join Vinyl as we take a walk down memory lane.

We all know the slob and party bum personality that has slowly become synonymous with Vinyl. Well here is a different look on the unicorn. This is an over view of her life.

Vinyl Scratch's long awaited album is finally going to be released, but she needs somewhere that would fit the darker themes. Somewhere like, say, an abandoned psychiatric hospital rumored to once be the resting place of Nightmare Moon.

Dragging her roommate Octavia along, they soon discover something darker than imaginable has taken up residence in the abandoned corridors. Something that has no plans to let them leave.

Inspired by VinylScratchDjPony and his song/artwork for "Mah Evil Pet" over on YouTube, which he graciously allowed me to use for coverart.

Also, a prereader (ImJustAnotherBrony, who else?) would like to stake the claim that he was first to use the nickname 'Tavi', so I guess due credit to him. Or something.

Octavia goes to a field in search of inspiration, and is soon left making social decisions she wouldn't usually make. What will come of her interactions with this strange and distant pony?

Based on the game Vinyl's Silent Wish, by TsubukiSan, a game I loved so much, I decided it needed a longer story.

I drew the cover art myself.

A wonderful day at a gorgeous location. No work, no responsivities, no nothing… And yet, it would all be meaningless without the mare by my side. For it is not what you do, but who you do it with that truly matters.
