Vinyl's band has been working very hard for the week they had to prepare. Finally, the day came. It was the day before the contest. The band had one more day of practice.
"Ok, everypony, let's work extra hard today, got it?" Vinyl announced.
"Got it." the others called.
"1 2 3 4!" Vinyl called. The band played through the song multiple times. It was getting late when they stopped.
"Vinyl, we should stop." Octavia suggested. "We need sleep for tomarow."
"Yeah, you're right." Vinyl said. "Everypony, let's get some sleep. Tomarow, meet us here."
The ponies all walked home, all exited for the next day.
The next day, they all came as planned. "Everypony got their instruments?" Vinyl double-checked. After making sure, she nodded. "Let's go." they walked to the park where the contest was. Vinyl was nervous. There were so many bands. They were all really good. "Don't worry!" Derpy said. "It's ok, we will win! We'll get to see your band!" Vinyl smiled.
"Thanks Derpy." she said. She looked at the judges. They were none other than Rock the Horse themselves! "Oh my god!" Vinyl yelled. "Look! It's Rockstar, Beatstar, and Musicstar!" she yelled.
"Calm down. You don't want to lose your cool, right?" Octavia said.
"Your right." Vinyl admitted.
Many bands played for Rock the Horse. All of them made Vinyl more worried. They all got better and better as the contest went on. Finally, it was their turn. Vinyl, Octavia, Derpy, and Lyra walked on stage. They set up the drums and keyboard.
"Ready?" Vinyl asked for the last time.
"Ready." the others said.

The audience cheered. Vinyl's heart thumbed. "We have chosen a winner." announced Rockstar. "The winner is, Vinyl's Band!"
Vinyl and her friends cheered.
"We got tickets!" Vinyl cheered.
"We'll see you there." Rockstar said. Him and his band started to take down the stage. Vinyl, Octavia, Lyra, and Derpy helped.
That night, Vinyl celebrated at her house. They won. They only had 1 week to do it, and they did.
