When secret agent Sweetie Drops is captured by the Mare with the Emerald Hands and taken to her secret underwater base, she thinks she knows how things will go. She’ll be imprisoned. She’ll nearly lose all hope, then she’ll find the inner strength she needs to defeat the villain in a climactic battle.
But then Lyra makes it weird.
There are no series tags for James Bond or Austin Powers, but I'm sure you'll get the idea.
Second Place winner in Bike's Lyrabon contest.
As a professional athlete, Dash goes to regular physicals. As an Element Of Harmony, she goes to regular magicals too. Soul examination is her least favorite part, but at least the patient blacks out while their spirit is in capable hooves.
Starlight Glimmer's hooves have questionable capability.
This is an entry in the Snippet Series, an anthology of old oneshots that I (and my good buddy Str8aura) wrote based around interesting pics I found. New ones will be posted every other Thursday for the foreseeable future.
It was a major shake-up for most ponies: the loss of magic from Equestria. But for Cozy Glow, it just meant swapping her enchanted stone prison for a normal ball-and-chain one. Besides, that was ten years ago. What does she care of the humbled world outside? Or that it just delivered her an uppity new cellmate?
Luster Dawn cares. A lot. It's why she's here.
(Takes place between The Last Problem and Gen 5. AU Tag because these events are probably gonna get invalidated by canon someday.)
Second place winner of the 3rd Annual Cozy Glow Short Story Contest, double-dipping prompts with "Cozy's got a secret!" and "Cozy makes an unusual friend."
It shouldn't have been a big deal. Celestia was kidnapped or knocked out or just generally made to seem powerless by whatever idiot with ill intent decided to show up on a nearly weekly basis. As the mighty and immortal Sun Princess, she could escape at any time, but she was happy to play these little games. The daring rescues and bloodless battles gave her ponies such a sense of confidence and purpose!
But this one didn't go as planned. One small, stupid mistake got her thrown to the twisted reaches of the world-prison, Tartarus. Now alone, unarmed, and barely more than mortal, Celestia wakes in a living landscape where everything has every reason to hate her.
And, far worse, she has accidentally picked up a passenger.
Sidenote: This a repost (I tried to go through official channels, I promise!) of a story I wrote long, long ago on an account I foolishly deleted. Back in those days, Tartarus hadn't shown up in an actual episode yet. It's not exactly an alternate universe situation, but it has nothing to do with the canon portrayal of the place.
Super amazing cover art by Cold In Gardez.
Rainbow Dash has important news to share with her friends; she's pregnant. Obviously, this comes as a surprise to everypony, especially Twilight, given that the two are currently dating.
In other news, Twilight finds out she might be a morosexual.
(Rated teen for discussions of sex. No actual sex happens.)
Pre-Read and edited by Rimmer.
Cover art by ModMCdl because he doesn't like it when I don't use cover art.
Most ponies seem to love like the sun, a single spot of intense, blazing passion. Starlight Glimmer is different. Her love feels like planets in the night sky. So many scattered lights, so far out of reach, and so hard to tell from the fixed stars.
Fortunately, she has a teacher who's very good at astronomy.
An entry in Bicyclette's Polyship Contest, written at the last minute because that's when the idea came to me. Rated Teen for frank discussion of physical attraction and a brief mention of suicidal ideation. Takes place immediately after "Uncommon Bond" (S7E24, the one with Starlight's favorite board game.)
Now with a reading by The Mystery Fluttershy Fan.
