In a collection of speeches and personal letters from after her release from the moon, the Princess of the night wants to clarify a few things to all of her subjects. Sometimes, it's not easy being a time-displaced princess...

After Princess Luna returned to her rightful place as Princess of the night, she enlisted the ShadowBolts to serve as protectors of the night. After many months of training, Raven Spectre, a colt from CloudsDale, gets rejected by the WonderBolts. He then gets an offer he can't refuse.

A month after returning home from her adventures with the Saphire Stone, and Daring Do's already dying to head back into the field. Unfortunately for her, absolutely nothing seems to be happening. No danger, no disaster, no adventure ANYWHERE. Until she receives a letter in the mail, telling her to meet a mysterious pony at the Canterlot Museum. Upon arrival, she finds that the pony is not so mysterious after all -- in fact, she's just the opposite. Cassablanca Lily, of the Canterlot Lilys, is one of the most well known ponies in all Equestria. However, what she shows Daring is not. Somewhere below the Canterlot Museum lies a secret vault, lost to the civilised world for nearly two hundred years. The treasures it holds are innumerable and invaluable, but it's not what's in there that matters; it's what isn't. The Gryphon's Goblet, a powerful chalice immortalised in fairy tails, is missing, and no one knows for how long. It could be one year or one hundred and fifty. But one thing is certain: someone has to get it back, before whoever stole it finds out how to harness it's powers. And who better to do so than the amazing adventurer Daring Do?

Things have quieted down in Equestria since The Doctor and his companions faced Discord and Blackspine. However, their break is interupted when a strange pegasus arrives in Ponyville looking for the time colt. Even stranger, Equestria's former first hero has begun acting very out of character.

The day after the Lunar Festival, two ponies from Celestia and Luna's past appear in Ponyville with a warning shortly before fire begins to rain down from the sky. While the citizens of Equestria repair the damage to their cities; the girls, along with the newly discovered Elements of Life must set out with the strangers to face an enemy the royal sisters and their two friends thought long defeated, while the sisters themselves act as decoys to protect their subjects from further attacks.

The Gryphon Kingdom to the north has fallen to the corruption of a tyrannical Queen; forcing her nation into a war against Equestria. As the battle looks in their favor, Lightning spark--Leader of the 1st Pegasus Division--finds himself fighting not only gryphon's, but his own mind as he struggles with the loss of a close friend. Little does he know that the new recruit, Rainbow Dash, may be Equestria's only hope in stopping the war.

Most characters on the list, will come in slowly as the story goes on. Also, the (very sparse) romance doesn't pick up until around chapter 3.

Equestria and Aquileon, the griffon's realm, have a long-standing agreement: Every five years, teams from each country will face each other in a competition to garner fame and glory for their home and for themselves. Luna has been banished to the moon by her sister. After 1000 years in isolation, the poor alicorn is truly sorry for what she did and is ready to come home. But when a strange visitor befriends Luna in her isolation, the two find their stories of banishment to the moon merit many similarities. Luna's new friend offers her the key to her escape, but also rekindles the hatred in her heart, a hatred that took the mare 1000 years to forget.
