Amidst the savagery of war, two old warlords find the time to have a chat before the final confrontation.

So it's finally happened. After being kicked in the shin by Celestia, Discord is officially dying. Now Celestia wants to know if he has any last requests before he goes.

Nurse Redheart works at Ponyville General and has been there for years now. Her work pleases her, and helping other ponies helps her feel like she's making Equestria a better place, one patient at a time.
Lately she's been having some trouble with her memory, though. She's been forgetting things... Big things. Hours of her life just gone from her memory, and she doesn't know why.

Princess Twilight Sparkle, fearing the rise of a new villain, uses the time travel spell once again to return to the desolate landscape she came across in her stand-off with Starlight Glimmer. Her mission: to gather any evidence she can pointing to the evil that succeeded in destroying Equestria.

Twilight will learn, however, that good intentions can be the birth of malevolence.

A symbol falls, and what it stands for soon follows.
When devastating events occur, shattering the hearts and minds of ponies everywhere, many will have their spirits tested, their resolve questioned.
Their world torn asunder, and with the threat of a cosmic horror, a select few souls will traverse a universe very different to the one they know, and one where the symbols they stand for do not exist.
And no single pony will be able to restore harmony to their world.

There are many legends whispered among the ponies of Equestria, but none are stranger than that of the metal man that fell from the stars. Legend has it that the metal man's suit of armor still exists to this very day, slumbering the centuries away in the Canterlot Archives ...

Here's some quick background info on what you need to know, seeing as the 40K universe is huge and no one can be expected to know everything.

The Space Marine chapter involved in this story is a little known chapter known as the Celestial Lions, who are a descendant of the Imperial Fists. They were targeted for destruction by the Inquisition after defying them on an Exterminatus that was due to purge a world the Lions had fought for and saved. They fought during the Third War for Armageddon mainly, and during the fighting, they were reduced from 950+ battle brothers to just 96. Their numbers are even lower now, due to events that will be explored during this story.
