Hearth's Warming. A time to celebrate love. Family. Friendship. To come together and reaffirm bonds.

But for the mare at the top, an immortal whose only living family has been sealed within the moon for over nine and a half centuries, who commands too much awe and respect to have many, if any, true friends...its long been a reminder of what she's lost.

This year though, things have changed. A bright eyed little filly, an excuse to avoid the overdone public productions, and Princess Celestia finds herself with a holiday whose events bring her joy, a joy she would dearly love to share with her sister.

Unable to talk to her directly, Celestia falls back on something she's good at:

Writing a letter.

A Holiday Sidestory in the same universe as my main story, Cross the Rubicon...and all my stories, really, this is a Christmas gift for my readers who are a bunch of amazing people!

In the beginning, there was the world, and the creatures that dwelt within it. But the world was incomplete, possessing only poor magic.

In the fullness of time, She, the One with Hair of Flame, the Beaconess, came, and gave magic to the world, and all was reborn in wonder.

Many trials did the Divine Beaconess endure, and with her friends overcome; the Renewal, the Dark Lady, the Great Mage War, all rose against her and failed. Their darkness could not overcome the light of her Harmony.

Many years have come and gone, countless generations lived and died, but still the Divine Beaconess endures, ascended to the heavens and enthroned in power, gazing lovingly down upon her children. And still we, her faithful ones, proclaim her truth to the world, crying out the words she herself taught us when she still walked among us; "Amikeco estas magio!"

A story set in the Oversaturated World.

Luster Dawn is a unicorn filly enrolled at Princess Twilight's School for Gifted Unicorns. After only a year, in which she displayed her exemplary use of magic and expertise at fostering friendships, it would come only as a surprise to her that Princess Twilight Sparkle would offer her the role of being her personal student. Whilst such a thing should have been an honour for the young filly, she can't help but let the stress of carrying such a title weigh heavy on her haunches.

Fortunately, her mother, who isn't the best when it comes to all things emotional, is there to lend her a hoof.
