Alan Williams Goldenhoof, Pendragon of Equestria, now married to the love of his life, has taken a step back from the world to enjoy life.

Of course, this is quickly ruined as the world comes to get him. Now Alan must leave behind his peaceful home in Equestria to face the rebel forces of his old enemy General Ironclaw. But all is not as it seems, for the General has a trick up his sleeve that will force Alan and his friends to face their darkest secrets.

This will get ugly.

It started as a normal Equestrian morning, but doesn't it always? The princesses are frightened, and in Ponyville, a creature from a forgotten race walks into town. His kind hasn't been seen in over a thousand years, but even then he's still far from what he appears to be.

Arc 1: The First Day

Author's Note: Hey guys! This is my first story, so constructive criticism is more than welcome. I'll take this moment to say that I own nothing but my main character, the plot, and a few surprises which will appear later. All other characters and linked music are NOT mine. A word on music. At times I might offer two links to a song. The first is the OFFICIAL version, the second is the closest approximation to how I feel it is sung in the story. Just warning you, because I know some people hate covers. This story is rated teen for occasional language, implied sex, and gruesome imagery (mostly late in the story and in flashbacks). John and his friends are exploring a mine when everything goes horribly, horribly wrong. After watching his friends die in front of him, John is saved by the newly crowned Twilight Sparkle. Now he must lean to deal with everything he's lost as he strives to fit into a the strange world of Equestria.

This is just a writing exercise for me while some of my other (non ponee) ideas marinate. Specifically, I'm trying to make my descriptions more vivid, show, not tell, and characterization. Probably could work on pacing, too. Any feedback is appreciated.

When Twilight Sparkle invites Applejack and her little sister to lunch with her and the rest of her friends, Apple Bloom is thrilled to be joining the mares on a grownup lunch. She resolves to get Twilight Sparkle a gift to thank her for her thoughtfulness. This gift serves two purposes though, and it's not until much later that Applejack discovers that Apple Bloom was setting up Twilight Sparkle and Applejack to become marefriends from the very beginning.

Warning: Third-person limited with multiple POVs. This is a shipping fic with the Applejack and Twilight pairing.

(VERY LIGHT ROMANCE) Equestria is no more. The majority of the Pony race has been wiped out by an unknown disease, turning all the sick into mindless beings whose only purpose is to feed. But one pony seeks to rebuild Equestria, and he has to do it by killing one zombie at a time.

Violet has been plagued by nightmares, but they feel so familiar. Are they memories? Are they future events that are soon to come? She didn't know if they had anything to do with the undead that they had just defeated. After marrying Twilight, and adopting Scootaloo, She thought everything would be fine. She cares for her new family, and her friends as well, but how can she be there for them if she can't get these dreams off her mind?
Note: This story is a sequel to my first story: The Beginning of The End. So if you haven't read that, I recommend doing so, just to make sense of this storyline.
