Scootaloo has the flu. Rainbow Dash decides to cheer her up. This story is for Equestria Daily's Friend Off 3. This is also my first fiction ever posted anywhere.

While walking by Fluttershy's house one night, Sunset hears what sounds like Rainbow Dash being tortured by a malevolent Fluttershy. When Rainbow Dash doesn't appear the following day, the girls decide to take a look at Fluttershy's house, where they find evidence that makes it appear that Fluttershy is not the gentle, harmless girl they know after all.

When Twilight Sparkle was just a kid, her best friend was a girl named Sunset Shimmer. Though their friendship had a bit of a rocky start, they quickly became inseparable, no matter how much everyone thought of them as ‘weird’. They were there for each other.

Years after the tragic accident that tore them apart, Twilight is determined to move on from her loss, and she sets off on an independent research project to investigate the strange happenings at Canterlot High. Little does she know that she will soon come face to face with what appears to be a literal ghost from her past.

Sunset was very hurt and betrayed by her so-called friends after they callously dumped her during the Anon-A-Miss incident. However, she can't bring herself to leave; she can't go back to being the person she was - aloof, cold, and alone.

And so she buries it. Tries to forget it. Easier said than done.

Based on the Ed Edd & Eddy episode "this won't hurt an Ed"

The Dazzling's are helping the nurse (community service type deal) and Rainbow Dash is being high and mighty but Aria discovers Rainbow is afraid of needles so it's time for some good natured torture.

Sunset gets up in the middle of the night for a small midnight snack. Downstairs she finds Twilight awake as well, struggling to write the counter-spell. Sunset offers condolence, and ends up learning a big secret about Twilight. One that makes Sunset's heart flutter.
