Dragons are terrifying for none can hear the words inside the roars. Fluttershy, the only pony to understand them, is silent and terrified for a different reason. The girls are attacked by a foul group, but are saved by a silent, purple dragon.

Canterlot has sent a witchhunt for dragons in the surrounding area. There are knocks at the door. Fluttershy answers to find her saviour—bleeding, quiet, and on the run. Saving him means more than stopping the bleeding.

The guards are still looking. Friends harbour pains and prejudice against all of his kind. Mobs gather in fear of the unknown. And Fluttershy, deeply knowing dragons, fears them for a different reason. Yet she's the only one that will be able to understand what this kind dragon has to say.

Will she be able to save him? Will this one be different from the rest? How did Fluttershy acquire this ability? Why does Twilight regard all dragons with scorn?

The clock is ticking; the witch hunt is on.

Once again Spike is left alone at the library while Twilight is away. Bored and tired of always staying inside he decides to go to a night club with a friend. While there he meets a mare that shows him to loosen up and live life to the fullest.

This is the tale of a drake craving freedom.

Spike wakes up every day to a nagging roommate. His days are spent doing chores he neither likes nor dislikes. And, to make matters worse, Rarity's heart is still as distant as ever.

So he stops caring for a day.

Twenty-eight years have passed since Twilight has taken over for Celestia and Luna and now the night she dreads is here. The Gala is always boring but it's far worse when none of her friends are able to come since they all have responsibilities with even Spike saying he's too busy. Despite this, the Gala will change how she sees one of her oldest friends and give her the happy ending she had been looking for for years.

King Sombra has returned and has joined forces with the duke of the drakos. The Elements of Harmony are called in to defeat Sombra who is turning the war in favor for the drakos, and Spike's squad is called in to protect them. Sombra has a grudge against the purple drakos, and leverage.

Spike's dreams of Rarity are shattered, and at the worst possible time, for his friends will need him to make it through their greatest crisis.
