After the events of their first Hearths Warming Eve together, and the revelation about Gallus' family, or lack there of, Silverstream comes to a shocking realization: Gallus has never had a birthday party! Silverstream decides to correct this as soon as possible, so she recruits the rest of the Young Six to put together a surprise birthday party for their griffon friend.
However, as all of his friends are busy planning this surprise, Gallus can't help but feel that his so called friends are avoiding him. Feeling alone and abandoned on this day, Gallus unknowingly finds himself in a vulnerable position ripe for manipulation.

Again Lightning Dust's ego and actions have come back to bite her, this time landing her in the hospital in a full body wing hoof and cast, drinkin' through a straw. Her reputation in shambles and the stunt pony troupe she worked so hard to create now leaderless.
Unable to move or do much of anything, the pegasus is surprised to receive a visitor. And not just any visitor, but the same Rainbow Dash she now considers a rival.
But Rainbow Dash has her reasons for wanting to see what's become of her one time partner. Reasons that will shock Lightning Dust to her very core. After all, why would anypony in their right mind show up if not to mock her?
What happens when a pony doesn't actually like the cutie mark that they receive? Perhaps one more embarrassing than most?
Well, that's when Starlight Glimmer's special talents come into play.

While spreading word of the Storm King's defeat, Tempest stops in a cafe. Given her past, nopony wants much to do with her. Except for Sunburst, who couldn't care less. With nothing else to do for a few minutes, they begin talking, mostly about magic. Sunburst's got a theory.
The war is finally over. We ponies have lost. Our plan to convert humanity into ponies has failed. Hundreds of thousands are dead. Homes destroyed. Our nation is shattered and near annihilation. All because we underestimated humanity and their refusal to become like us.
I alone now hold the fate of my people in my hooves against the humans who want nothing more than to destroy us for the so called atrocities we have committed against them. I've lost my friends one way or another. My family. My fellow Princesses.
I have but one duty and that is, reluctantly, to see that we are shown mercy.
I'm just afraid of the cost. Or what I will learn from this.

Ocellus finds a love letter in her locker asking her to meet by the big tree. Her friends as happy for her as she comes to terms with the idea of having someone special in her life. Meanwhile, Sandbar, who has feelings for Ocellus, feels upset that he wasn't fast enough to confesses to her.
