Magic: the Gathering, beloved of nerds across the multiverse, allowing everypony to express their personality in the worst possible way since before Nightmare Moon was banished. One day, the game spreads across Ponyville, with dire and nonsensical consequences. Will Ravnicolt survive the onslaught of Rainbow's dragon deck? Will Neighcol Bolas's diabolical master plan come to fruition? Will anypony make it through a whole game without facehoofing?
Probably not.

A series of vignettes to no greater point or purpose. More may be added later. Or not.
In spite of my best efforts to keep it simple, this probably won't make much sense if you don't have at least some understanding of the game.

This story is a sequel to Pipe Down's Cutie Mark

Pipe Down has mastered many techniques with regards to the art of story telling. However, his senility prevents any understanding of tact. Will he be able to tell Rarity the truth about her parents without mortifying her? No, but only because he's too old for that.

This is not a joke, it's a serious conundrum! It's an aberration from mundane equine speech, and Twilight is in a quandary over it!

Brand-new idiosyncrasies have been found in Ponyville's speech.
Twilight Sparkle notices and may be a teeny-tiny bit ruffled by the suspicious change.

On a field trip to Canterlot, Cheerilee's class encounter one of the most unusual members of the castle staff. A pony named Sizzler, who works at the meat station of the Lunar Kitchen. Responsible for cooking and serving the meals of visiting carnivores, he has a rare 'once in a generation' cutie mark. Persuaded to tell his tale, the CMC listen with rapt attention.

After all, they would do anything to get their cutie marks. But would they really be willing to work with meat?

While this story was inspired by A Total Eclipse Of The Fun and Naked Lunch it is not part of that continuity. All OCs created by Estee are used with permission. Initial idea discussed in this blog post.
