Five years after Luna and Jetfire (the pony who stole her heart over a thousand years ago) spent Hearts and Hooves Day together, the two meet once again for their annual Hearts and Hooves Day celebration. Everything is going the same as usual, but Jetfire has plans to take their relationship to the next level. All it takes is four little words; just one simple question.

Shorty after the end of Luna's banishment, her sister sees fit to assign her a court wizard. Shining Dawn helps Luna adjust to the new Equestria and becomes one of her most treasured friends and companions during the often-deserted Night Court.

For years, it was known that Nightmare Moon was banished on October 31st of 12 B.C, and that the Elements of Harmony saved her as she came back a thousand years later.

But there was more, that Celestia herself didn't even know.

Nyt Ryder is a loyal Lunar Guard.
Bold, strong, stubborn, and pitch black. Never been able to fit in with his family of 'Bright Lighters', term given to zealous ponies that believed that the Moon was evil and the sun was sacred.
Now, he has apparently caught the eye of the one he's supposed to protect but how can he not let his newly developing feelings affect his sworn duty to the monarch.

Where has my princess gone? Why do they hate her? What do I do? I will fight for her and one day tell the princess how I feel or die trying!

When light bursts forth in darkness, a shadow is born. The darker side of The Golden Armor resides here, so read at your own risk.

The stars.

The stars in Equestria have but one purpose: the protection of Ponykind. Each star is a prison cell, and each constellation is a prison. So when a star falls on Equestria, letting loose an evil by the name of Tenebris, what do the stars do?

They create a construct.

They create a construct out of the dust of a living star, imbibing it with the grace of a pony soul and sending it to Equestria along with the one thing that could stop the evil: the Star Keys. After arriving in Equestria, the construct becomes corrupt in his power and joins in the war that is already being fought, seeking to claim the world for himself.

He nearly succeeds.

He nearly succeeds, but Celestia conquers him. She conquers him and, with her godly powers, strips him of his memories, cursing him to wander the four lands of Tarin. With the Star Keys in hoof, Celestia ends the war against Tenebris, more commonly known as Nightmare Moon, and its host, Luna, to the moon for a thousand years.

The construct’s curse has a catch.

The construct’s curse has a catch, and that is this: when Ponykind truly needs the power of a construct, the spell will be broken.

So what happens when a constellation disappears?

Jonathon has been living peacefully in Equestria for a few years now. But then the man who cursed him returns. Will Jonathon fight him, or will he release his curse and live a normal life.

Just over two years after her banishment ended, Luna now rules over her night with Celestia's day. However, the night can become a very boring place, and when you have way too many hours of nothing to do, you tend to make... interesting choices in terms of activities.

Note: This takes place before season 3.
