Zecora's potion allowed Twilight to briefly look into the ancient past, and now she wants more. When she asks for help in mass producing it, Zecora uses a similar potion to give her a glimpse into a possible future, where the costs of her endeavor may outweigh the rewards.

Zecora had travelled far from her homeland, a place full of bliss and joy, in search for a new life with many joyful companions and trustworthy friends. But when ostracized from everypony nearby, isolation clung to her and drilled loneliness into her heart, leaving her in despair, with only her regretful memories and broken hopes as company.

Set before the episode 'Bridle Gossip'.

While moving to her new home, Zecora find the strangest creature - a large, nigh-hairless talking monkey-thing. Seeing how it lacks basic knowledge on surviving in the wild (and that it's quite tall and probably good at manual labour) she decides to adopt it as her assistant. Hopefully, she won't come to regret her decision.

Zecora explains to Twilight why she talks the way that she does, and she does it completely in anapestic tetrameter and character-consistent end rhyme.

Since meeting Apple Bloom, Twilight, and their friends, Zecora's life has become much more filled with warmth and purpose than it has been ever before. But old patterns of thought are hard to change, and becoming part of a community can seem impossible to a recluse.

Zecora has been living in the Zebra Kingdom for far too long. She's ready to move on to greener pastures in Equestria, but funding is an issue for her. When a mysterious pony appears with a cyberwatch that gives Zecora access to Cadancenet, what will she do to make it to the land of her dreams?

To those who are wondering, this takes place pre-season 1. And it could totally be canon.

Some time after Apple Bloom has grown up and left her crusading days behind her, she discusses mostly hypothetical relationship concerns with her friend and mentor, Zecora.
