When spring sets in, a lot of animals tend to display some rather ... unconventional behavior patterns.

Griffins are no exceptions.

Gilda and Celestia discuss Gilda's falling-out with Rainbow Dash. Nothing long, unexpected or dramatic here - I just had this kind of gentle scene stuck in my head, and needed to write it out.

(My first piece of fanfiction, not only for this site, but literally my first)

When Gilda comes back to Ponyville, she has changed for the better. Fluttershy learns this when Gilda knocks on her door early in the morning. The others find this hard to understand or believe. Fluttershy and Gilda must find a way to let the residents of Ponyville know that Gilda is not the evil griffon they once knew.

This story is using a combination of the FiM episodic style of story combined with my own style of writing.

After Gilda looses her cool, she retreats in haste, flying over the Everfree Forest. She makes the mistake of flying into a harsh storm, but doesn't bother to take cover. She carelessly zips over the wood line disregarding the storm until lightning strikes near her; the force of witch causing her to plummet to the forest below, where she will spend her final hours... for there is evil waiting to devour her.

With being outcast from Ponyville and only feeling ill staying in Cloudsdale, Gilda has lived in the Everfree forest for over a year ever since she lost her friend Rainbow Dash. More than half her nest lays littered with crumpled and pierced letters she never sent, and the creatures of the forest have given up on comforting her. Gilda has never felt more alone in her life.

When the wandering Fluttershy happens upon her home, Gilda finds forgiveness in the last place she would ever expect. But will the rest of Ponyville forgive her?

And will that include a specific rainbow pegasus?

I can't believe this! How dare they forget who they're dealing with! I'm the very Element of Generosity! But to ask me to share my suite with the likes of... her? It's inconceivable, preposterous, ludicrous! They seriously think I, Rarity, fashion designer extraordinaire would be willing to share even a suite with such an... uncouth beast! Unfortunately, the Canterlot Ritz—and every other hotel—is booked solid, so it is either this or nothing. I suppose as long as I keep to myself, I will survive the week. Right?

Seeing the poor dragon at his wits end trying to woo Rarity, Gilda decides to give Spike some tips and help him gain the mare of his affection. Although she finds him slightly annoying, he starts to grow on her. And she soon learns that Spike has taken a liking to her as well...

Maybe too much of a liking.

Gilda wasn't always a bully. She was always antisocial and had a bit of a mean streak, but not a bully exactly. She was quite the opposite when she first moved to a city full of ponies when she was a teen, or "dinner" as she would have called them in ages past. After a while she resigned herself to exile in her temporary home, just waiting to cross the sea again. A certain annoying, gutsy, and possibly a bit insane mare changed that. We all know how their story ended; this is the day it started.

I'm aware this was probably done to death way back in the days of yore when Season 1 hadn't even finished, but I had a tiny idea to put my own little spin on it, so I figured I might as well get it out there and give it my best while I'm at it.
