Sunset and Twilight, on a cold, rainy night, curled up in Sunny's apartment.

Twilight Sparkle, the famed Alicorn Princess, after 3 years, grows tired and restless one fateful night. Going out for a late-night flight, she found plenty more than what she asked for, finding a home to stay at for good.

While spreading word of the Storm King's defeat, Tempest stops in a cafe. Given her past, nopony wants much to do with her. Except for Sunburst, who couldn't care less. With nothing else to do for a few minutes, they begin talking, mostly about magic. Sunburst's got a theory.

Discord has something on his mind. Cadance isn’t completely sure how she can help but she’ll try her best to solve this puzzle.

The third place winner for the Iron Author speed writing contest at Everfree Northwest this year. I was honestly so shocked and honored when I heard. Everyone’s stories were so good! I can’t wait to see everyone post theirs soon.

Speaking of that, I want to edit this story more since I think I could smooth things out a little. But I don’t want to make everyone wait until then so here’s the unedited version submitted at the contest. I’ll leave the story complete but a second chapter that’s just a better edited version might be out soon.

Twilight Sparkle is many things, but above all else, she is a friend. Her most recent acquaintance is, however, a most unusual sort.

Never before has Equestria played host to a traitor space marine of the Adeptus Astartes.

As an armor-bound soul with a body burned to naught but ash and dust, how will this former being of war fit into the love and harmony of the pony domains?

The immaterium is an unpredictable and fickle aspect of reality, and "impossible" ceases to be a valid term when it is involved.

As such, when Twilight witnesses a fantastical cosmic event occur above Equestria, she immediately investigates. What she finds is nothing short of one of the most dangerous artifacts to ever make its way to the relatively peaceful realm of ponies: a blackened suit of massive armor, marked by the ouroboros.

It's been a few days since the Battle of the Bands, and memories of what happened during that day haunt Twilight, especially since her ex-crush made her cry and didn't even apologize to her.

Until one afternoon where she's crying in her bedroom, Luna comes and helps her with it. And who knows, Twilight might even fall in love with Luna.

Applejack didn't plan on kissing Rainbow Dash. It just happened, really.

Now Rainbow Dash wants answers...and Applejack isn't sure she has them.
