One night, an amazing display lit up the sky over Ponyville. A comet, brighter than any in living memory, was making its way through the sea of stars. The residents of the town gathered en masse to witness the spectacle. As was the tradition for such an occasion, many ponies made a wish on the celestial body, hoping that maybe, just maybe, some of them might come true...

When the Cutie Mark Crusaders go missing during a school camping trip, Miss Cheerilee enlists the help of Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Rarity to help find them. When the search turns up no trace of the three intrepid fillies, everyone begins to suspect the worst.

But their fate is unlike anything anybody could have expected...

Life was pretty good for Rarity. With her own business, she had the best friends anypony could ask for and a loving (if slightly annoying at times) sister.

But nothing ever stays the same forever.

After a traumatic accident within the family, Rarity is forced to care for Sweetie Belle, learning how to be the best sister she can possibly be. Yet old memories resurface and she will be forced to confront her own upbringing too.

After an accident robs them of their parents, Rarity writes Sweetie Belle a letter laying bare a secret kept all the little unicorn's life.

Following Rarity's example, Applejack writes her little sister a letter. While Rarity's letter revealed the truth of Sweetie Belle's origins, Applejack's letter will shed light on the greatest unanswered mystery of the Apple family; what happened to Applebloom's parents?

Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon poke fun at Apple Bloom simply because she does not have her cutie mark. When an arts and crafts fair is preparing to set up in Ponyville, Applejack encourages her little sister to at least participate, but she soon succumbs to her own self-depression. Discouraged, confused, and upset from all the building up of verbal abuse, Apple Bloom one day disappears from Ponyville without a trace and it isn't long before Applejack is driven into mental insanity worrying about her. Silver Spoon betrays Diamond Tiara by confessing to Applejack the most likely cause of Apple Bloom's disappearance and quite possibly her true reason for wanting her cutie mark. And once Princess Celestia learns of Apple Bloom's problem, she decides to pay a visit to Ponyville herself to announce a very important lesson about bullying. Will Diamond Tiara finally realize the error of her ways? Or has her heart been permanently hardened by her own twisted misdeeds?

Rainbow Dash spends the day with Scootaloo after seeing her feeling down. The two have a fantastic day together and begin to form an inseparable bond. That bond is broken after Scootaloo, Sweetie Bell, and Apple Bloom are kidnapped by a notorious crime mob. Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Applejack decide to take matters into their own hooves and search for CMC and the snatchers. Doing this, they embark on a journey that will take them to the dark underbelly of Equestria's crime system.

Rainbow Dash has stumbled upon a box. In it contain a stuffed monkey toy, a blanket, a note, and a baby inside.
Rainbow Dash takes the box back home but will she be able to raise a baby on her? Hopefully with the help of her friends, Rainbow Dash can learn what being mother is all about.

Princess Celestia somehow finds out about the mysterious Mare Do Well and discovers her secret identity, leaving her furious. As a result, she revokes holding back an old punishment she had for Twilight Sparkle and places the blame on Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie as well. While serving their time doing community service for the stuck-up sophisticated ponies of Canterlot, their track records are all smashed to pieces and Ponyville steadily falls into disarray. As Rainbow Dash mourns over being lonely, she remembers a promise she made to a friend - to become like a big sister somepony always wanted. Having someone to confide in makes all the difference.
