Sapphire Shores is a changeling. She's always been a changeling, trained while still a nymph to take a newborn filly's place and grow into a leader of ponies, a tastemaker, a herald to undermine Princess Celestia and pave the way for Queen Chrysalis's eventual conquest.

This has had something of an effect on her life and career.

When Rainbow Dash approaches the Princess of Friendship with a question about friendship, Twilight Sparkle is delighted to help her friend, even if that friend is being uncharacteristically coy about some of the actual details of the question. As she digs for the right answers, the question continues to become more complicated.

Then things get awkward.

Radiant Dawn had nothing to lose when she signed up with the Startrotter Association. So when Equus finds an ancient probe bearing a message of friendship, she was more than ready to volunteer herself for a one way trip in the spirit of Harmony.

She had trusted her life to an unproven spell to keep her asleep for the journey to a world thousands of light years away, knowing that she might never wake up again.

Years later, having somehow survived the perils of deep space travel, Radiant Dawn has awoken to find the counter spell failing...

Kukri Doo has a lot to think about after her trip to Northmarch. What was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime field trip with Sunset Shimmer turned into a horrifying struggle for survival—one that left hundreds dead and a city razed to the ground. It's a lot for anyone to deal with, let alone a changeling who's not even thirteen years old.

Kukri's come home to Freeport. If only it was that easy to leave all the memories of Northmarch behind.

Changelings can be named after insect body parts. Thorax. Chrysalis. Pharynx. So Leg is a changeling name. Sortof. Technically. She's not happy with it.

While the Elements of Harmony are away from Ponyville, a group of dedicated, honest, resourceful, and dedicated… Oh, wait. We said dedicated already. Anyway, some ponies have to fill the gaps, like spackle. This is the story of one.

He has to fill in for Twilight Sparkle. The poor guy.
