Twilight Sparkle decides to write a book... except, she actually decides to write a spell that writes books for her. Things go infinitively awry when she realizes that the difference between writing and spell-generated writing is the love and care of a hoof.
Oh, and of course, things go very wrong. But that's just how stories go, don't they?
Applejack digs a hole.
What would it be like?
Spitfire has asked herself that question for years. From her upbringing to her graduation—and even her rise through the ranks of the Wonderbolts—a desire for change has always loomed in her heart, no matter how she might have suppressed it.
Now, with her strongest aspiration beginning to resurface, she's starting to remember why she wanted to make music in the first place: The world she lives in, the company she works for, the system she was born into, none of it is right, none of it should be the way it is. Could her music truly change that?
With a little help, Spitfire will come to realise that change is possible.
I cannot thank Ceffyl Dwr enough for the level of work he has put into pre-reading this story, offering suggestions, discussing and debating various details with me and generally helping me make this into something presentable. I'm immensely grateful.
In the stars, a hundred years' journey away, the alicorns gather, to mourn, to mate, and to give birth to the new. They call to their sisters across the galaxies, and Celestia hears them.
Meanwhile, Dotted Line wants her to review tax rebate applications.

For most people, BitHub is just a version-control service, used to share and track changes in code.
For this and many other reasons, Twilight Sparkle is not most people.
A highly experimental entry and second place co-winner in Bicyclette's Twilight Files contest. Rated Teen for implications that would not get past Discovery Family S&P.
Straight from the Canterlot archives, this collection of documents retells the rise and fall of Princess Twilight Sparkle, Enlightened Despot of Equestria, Defender of the Peace, Lawgiver, and Commander of Fort Libris.
Twilight Sparkle is, of course, known to historians as the first usurper to seek to schedule a coup d'etat by appointment. But for other details- such as, "What is the longest recorded time a pony has gone without sleep?", "Is it true what they say about swans?", and, "Why is there an owlbear in the Equestrian Witness Protection Program?"- these documents provide the answers and much, much more.
This is ABSOLUTELY SERIOUS HISTORY from primary sources. If anything makes you think this is silly, ludicrous, or unbelievable, blame Discord.

Everypony has one 'Longest Night', a night that just never seems to end, whether they want it to end or not. For Celestia, her Longest Night began on the first night she had to raise her sister's moon.
Heartbroken and filled with despair that she may never see her sister again, Celestia makes a wish upon a falling star to see her sister one more time. Little did she realise that the stars listen.
A one-shot story of two sisters, and one Faithful Student.

Special thanks to Honey Mead and Iroh for helping iron out some details.
Prince Blueblood thought the Grand Galloping Gala was over. He thought he could just go to sleep and put it behind him. He never expected to be reliving the same disaster of a day, over and over... and over.
