There are about 15kish words that are supposed to be between this and Scenes From A Life In Equestria, establishing the start of Ellie's relationship with Rarity, up to her leaving on a business trip for a couple of weeks. But then I re-watched The Road To Friendship and A Rock Solid Friendship and got re-obsessed with Startrix and Starmaud and Startrixmaud all over again, and could not wait. Will connect it to the rest of the series once that catches up.

Love is in the air on Hearts and Hooves Day, and Starlight Glimmers knows exactly who she wants to spend it with. Now if only she can gather enough courage to confess to her best friend.

Trixie was flabbergasted by what she saw. She held her all-powerful amulet close to her chest, and watched in awe of what Twilight was able to accomplish with the necklace from the forest.

"Well, Trixie, looks like my amulet is more powerful than yours." Taking a deep breath, Trixie spoke, putting on false bravado - only one thought in her mind.

"Okay, Twilight. The Great and Powerful Trixie will concede - with one condition."

This story features Trixie as a transmare, and this is important to the plot. If you don't like it, don't interact.

Not quite sure if this counts as Alternate Universe? I mean, it's an alternate retelling of events, but it's still the same world we've always known. Nothing's really changed aside from this scene. idk, let me know in the comments if I should add that tag.

It's been three weeks, three weeks since they came back from the camp, and Twilight's still shaken up. Not from the events, that's kind of become the new normal around here. No, she's shaken up for a different reason. True, she's no longer afraid of Midnight taking over again. But, now that she isn't constantly afraid, new questions have risen in place of the old ones, who is Midnight Sparkle? What does she want? Why is she still here? The mystery is confusing her more and more everyday, so much so, it's starting to visibly affect her. But the answer came from the person she never expected, herself.

As an experienced reformed heroine who had dealt with unpredictable Equestrian magic in the human world, Sunset Shimmer has seen some pretty weird things.

Knowing that every human inexplicably has an Equestrian pony counterpart? Sunset yawns at this news. Being trapped in a collapsing mirror world? Not weird, but maybe a little scary. Having to play peacemaker when two Twilight Sparkles argued over who had the better boyfriend? That may have been unexpected, but not odd.

But the fact that Princess Twilight's boyfriend was a book and the teenage Twilight's boyfriend was a smartphone? Now that bit of weirdness wasn't so easy to shake off...
