Okay, I'm gonna level with you here.

I have way more ideas with (and without) this character than is reasonable, so I'm just gonna shove em up here so I don't wind up writing a third goddamn full story. Think of it as therapy for the author. Most of these shorts will be set a number of years after the end of Make Love Not War. Knowledge of both prior Atom Smasher stories is not assumed, but will help (and it's also kind of spoilery).

Atom Smasher is staying in the deserts of San Palomino at least until winter when the desert is a bit cooler. Until then she's stuck, and now she's getting bored. She's started working at Isotope City as a guard. On one such day after work, she spends the rest of the day with Caliber at a bar. There may be more consequences to her little day of fun than she thought.
This isn't a Clop fic though there will be foreplay in Chapter 2 as well as implied sex.

Atom Smasher is a special kind of pony. She lies, she cheats, she steals, she stockpiles explosives and relishes their liberal application, and she's one of the good guys. She earned the praise of the locals after becoming the accidental hero of the wastes around her home, but once the day is saved, being the hero is boring. She needs a new adventure.

One day, a letter arrives, inviting her to join her brother in San Palomino on a search for their missing dad.

Without a home, Nova and her fellow survivors must band together to make a living out on the surface. They must start from scratch, find a new home, learn to trade and explore, and establish a foothold in the wastes. But during her efforts to help her people, Nova comes across strange recordings and artifacts pointing to a hidden pre-war nation. And when a mysterious pony calls upon her to discover what it is that the writings portray, Nova and her closest friends find themselves cast into a war fought to claim a legacy left behind by a secret pre-war society. Nova's quest leads her to test her heart against the unrelenting force of the wasteland, to discover the meaning of the word honor, and to seek out and unlock a concealed pre-war secret, revealing to Nova that she is a part of something greater than she could have ever imagined.
