The young twelve year old girl must make quick decisions amongst the guilt and anger she bears after departing from the world she once called home.

When Sonata Dusk is found murdered in a backalley, the other sirens find themselves alone and friendless, except for perhaps one person. Sunset Shimmer, attempting to befriend them at school, feels for their loss, and tries to console them. Meanwhile, a murderer with an apparent grudge against the Dazzlings is still on the loose.

I came up with the idea for this story while rewatching season 6 of FiM! I've always loved the pairing of Trixie and Starlight, and them arguing over mundane stuff as a couple just seemed too cute to not write about at the time.
