Twilight Sparkle was thrilled to find her place as Princess of Friendship. But what is a Princess of Friendship without her friends? When Applejack comes to her to have an important conversation, Twilight is reminded that some of her friends have places of their own.

Finally, after years of begging, Celestia gives Twilight permission to access the Forbidden Wing of the Royal Library, a wing so secret even the other princesses can't access it. Twilight rushes to Canterlot, excited for the research potential.

Nearly thirty years in the future, the Mane Six have married and settled down to raise families of their own. When Andromeda, Twilight's daughter, rediscovers a familiar time-traveling spell, she makes it her mission to fix what was once unfixable. The spell goes wrong and she and the other sons and daughters of the Mane Six find themselves in the past (before the events of Twilight's alicorn coronation). Separated after the jump, they must all find each other in time before they are discovered, or else they risk changing history and even erasing their own existence.

(NOTE: These kids are not shipping children. They have dads, but even I do not know who they are. None of the fathers will be named or physically described in this story because the focus on my story is on the children. Please respect my decision of neutrality by not "guessing" who the dads are. The designs of the children were influenced by their mothers and nothing else. Thank you all for understanding.)

After getting filthy looks all morning, I asked my friends what everypony's problem was — and they told me that a rumour was circulating about me, claiming I was bedding every stallion I could get my hooves on.

Incensed by this, I protested my innocence and demanded to know where my friends heard the rumour. They were quick to tell me — and then they came along for the ride as I attempted to discover the source of the slander, going from pony to pony as I followed the trail of lies back to the source.

A source which, as it turned out, was not what I expected...

Dear Princess Twilight,

It feels strange writing these words, and even stranger writing what comes next. But I figured it was the least I can do for all you've done for me. Friendship is a tricky thing, and I admit I was kind of jealous you came into it so naturally. Princess Celestia made the right choice, and I can only hope you can get through to me where she failed. Did you ever tell her I was sorry?

I'm rambling, so I'll cut this short. Funny things have been happening since you left again, and it just felt right to report them to you like this. Be prepared for more in the future.

Twilight Sparkle returns to Canterlot High once more, only things aren't as they seem. Is Sunset Shimmer just being paranoid, or will everything she holds dear in both worlds be at stake?

Winona lies on the grass under an apple tree, reflecting on her life so far. She's lived a long time and she's seen many things in the past, but she likes the present the most, because that's when her friends live the most.

King Sombra has been argued as the worst villain Twilight and her friends have faced. The question remains to be asked though: What led to Sombra's reign of terror?
