An old dragon, wise and long-lived, sits in his cave, way up high; with a treasure reaching as far as the open sky.
Who shall claim it, and when, and where? And will it prove to be a prize most fair?
Time waits not for the champion to come by, so the dragon wonders, will his hoard with him die?

Growing up with books, Spike has always been a fan of the critically acclaimed Daring Do series. But after finding himself stuck in one of the novels, Spike must find a way to survive in a foreign, daring land filled with mysteries and adventure. Back in Ponyville, Rainbow Dash finds familiarity in a draconian character from the newest Daring Do installment.

We should have acted. He’s already here. It was foretold that He would return. His defeat was merely a delay… ‘til the time after Nightmare Moon’s return, after Discord spread chaos across the world. But nopony wanted to believe… believe it could be true. And when the truth finally dawns, it dawns in fire!
But, there is one He fears. In His tongue, he is Dovahkiin… Dragonborn!

(Spyro seriesXmlp) Spike's always been curious about his race, but then again what dragon wouldn't be when all they've ever known is ponies? So when a spell book arrives that may offer some answers to his questions, with a little help from Twilight of course, the young dragon is overjoyed to say the absolute least.

Though when things somehow end up going astronomically sideways, Ponyville finds itself playing host to three unexpected visitors; three scaly visitors by the names of Spyro, Cynder, and Ember to be exact, each bringing their own personal touch of chaos to the small town.

Soon awkward and unusual situations arise, tempers flare with destructive consequences, personal demons and ancient evils threaten to rear their long suppressed heads, and Spike learns that sometimes, if you wait long enough, love will find you.

As the gala draws near, he enlists Blueblood to help in wooing Rarity once and for all. Little do they know that another mare already has her eye on Spike, not to mention a plan to snatch him up first. -Heart to Heart Sequel-

Spike orders a How-To guide book to win Rarity's heart. Will Spike be able to follow all the steps like a true gentlecolt? Will any of the steps actually work? And just what is Rarity looking for in her friendship with Spike, anyway?
