Celestia feels uneasy and she doesn't know why. She knows she's safe with Luna back, but yet she still feels unsafe in the darkness of her sister's night.
To clear her head, she goes for a walk in her castle, trying to ignore the annoying tapping noise that keeps following her.
The uneasiness continues.

With no word from the princesses and most of her friends too busy working to help keep Ponyville functioning, Twilight Sparkle takes it upon herself to get to the bottom of the mystery with a reluctant Fluttershy in tow.

That's how this all started. That single matter-of-fact sentence is how this entire thing began. Because despite what the books say, despite what the maps say, despite what the princesses say, Ponyville does exist.
Lyra remembers. Her memories of Ponyville run perpendicular to her memories of growing up in Canterlot. But of course nopony believes the crazy conspiracy mare.
That's fine. Lyra doesn't need anypony to believe her. She just needs to find her way home.

Haunted by her actions and eager to redeem herself, she decides that only by serving ponykind will she be able to regain her self-respect and the trust of her loved ones. Editorial, a journalist for The Manehattan Times is tasked to go to one of the most haunted places in Equestria. In particular, to investigate a bridge that connects Ponyville to Appaloosa. Over the Gastly Gorge, when the moon is absent and the sky is dark, the location is known as "The Bridge of No Return" because those who dare to cross it end up disappearing. Even if there wasn't a paranormal reason for the disappearances, the reporter is determined to find the real reason why.

Once a year, the Townsend occurs. It is a weeklong tradition held by all of Equestria where, for a full week, everypony falls into a very deep -- almost comatose -- state. Nopony knows why or how it happens. It just does. So far, nopony has found any consequences to this strange occurence.

Then, one year, ponies start to go missing.

Then, the next year, more ponies start to go missing. Every year after, some ponies just seem to poof, and are never seen again. Nopony knows what happens to them, and those who try to learn, disappear.

Jazz is a very regular pony. In fact, there's nothing special about her at all. She has many good friends, a crush, even a well-respected family. She lives an average life in the little town of Stableside. That is, until she is unable to fall asleep the night of the Townsend.

This starts a series of events that will shatter Equestria forever.

Follow Jazz, as she embarks on the journey of her life. Just what secrets do the Townsend hold?
