After Equestria and Earth make contact, Colonel Anon E. Mous meets with the Bearers of the Elements of Harmony and the Princesses to share military secrets, only to learn their entire defense strategy hinges on having six ponies remain best friends.

Colonel Anon decides to teach ponies the greatest magic of all: busting a cap in someone's ass.

In the days following the wedding of Cadence and Shining Armor, Twilight is enjoying some much needed rest at Canterlot, alongside Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. However, when an old foe of the throne makes a sudden appearence and threatens to kill the sisters, terrible secrets are uncovered, a friendship is put to a jarring test, and the ponies are thrust into a fight for their very lives.

Spike feeling unappreciated for all his work is whisked away by a royal pony of ice and snow. The girls venture to the frozen parts of Equestria to rescue him before he decides to never want to come home at all.

It really isn't Twilight's fault. She certainly didn't intend those exact results and given everything else which was happening at the time, there was no chance to fix it! Besides, it was just reasonable to expect that Ponyville's natural tendencies would solve things on their own. Probably without even noticing, and most likely with a squish.

But that clearly didn't happen. Because when it comes to that particular experiment's aftermath, the worst-case scenario just came through.

Fluttershy knows about the frog.

Her only plan, to face the jaws of the beast in the open water of the deep blue sea.

Earth-pony Twilight Sparkle has always been a little "out there". But while testing her latest crazy idea, she finds that there are places even farther than that...
