She's always there when I need her. She'll always lend me a sympathetic ear, even for the pettiest of problems. She always knows what to say to make me smile. She knows how to brighten up my day. Simply hearing her sweet, little voice gives me comfort. Simply seeing her gorgeous eyes and beautiful smile lifts me up. She's still with me, even after seeing me at my worst. She's the greatest friend I could ever ask for.

So why do I still feel so lonely?

((Believe it or not, I actually regret making this years later, but I'm leaving it up for posterity's sake than anything. I hope you enjoy it even though I have no idea why you should))

I am a soldier. There's just no other way to describe me. Since the day of my birth, I've been thrust into the life of a killer on the battlefield. And unfortunately for me, I'm good at what I do. I don't even know what we're fighting about anymore. I want to just give up. I want to die. But the day I finally see peace in the shape of an orange pony is the day I question myself in ways I didn't think possible.

A different take on the "Soldier in Equestria" genre. I may or may not write an Epilogue for this someday.

Inspired heavily by "The youth in the garden" written by The Descendant.

Humans... humans are such a bizarre race. Capable of the greatest benevolence and the worst atrocities. And yet, they're so very predictable. For you see, while societies may die, and nations may crumble, one thing will remain constant: the desire to survive.

I should know. I was there when everything fell.

Starswirl the Bearded and General Cloud Hoof must stop a new threat to ponykind when a cult of humans begin to worship Discord. Can they save the day? More importantly, can they save themselves? Set a few years after the events that marked the downfall of mankind in my fanverse of the War of the Fallen Race. This is not a sequel to the original, more of a branch off story.

A hidden museum rests in the Canterlot palace, by law open to the public, by practice closed to visitors. Within its walls lie treasures of opal and gemstones, salt and wood. Shelves filled with untouched scrolls line the walls.

It is here that Luna pays her respects to Equestria's fallen heroes. Why, then, is it against her sister's wishes?

This story is a sequel to Inexcusable

She looked just like Princess Celestia, except marred and broken. Her ceremonial barding had rusted slightly, and dirt matted her coat. Most noticeable was her hair; black streaks accompanied its usual multicolored luster. They looked like discolorations in an old photograph.

Worst was the scar across her chest. Her armor covered it, but nothing could hide what it meant.

The tarnished Celestia smiled at Luna. "H-hello, monster. I would say I am glad to see you, but that w-w-wouldn’t be quite accurate."

A big thanks to AlicornPriest for editing/prereading.

The timing couldn't be any worse either, considering the large event the entire Apple Family is holding at Sweet Apple Acres in three days. Can Twilight help get Applejack over her issue before the event begins?

Update, May 11: Published the re-written chapter 2! Left certain parts out, put a few new parts in; it's more or less the same, but I'd like to think that I've ironed out the wrinkles enough to start up the final chapter!
