This story is a sequel to It’s Not Easy Being Green… and Purple

Spike lives in a giant castle with the company of not one, but two mares. So everything's just peachy, right? You know… ignoring how unhinged his castlemates can be in conjunction with how much magical power they happen to have… and sometimes abuse.

Having read the previous story is not strictly necessary to enjoy this one, though it will help in regards to the second section.

Dragons are not hot! Or at least Twilight keeps telling herself. Seriously, what's wrong with a little meddling in transmogrification magic from time to time? It's not like there can be any... 'unexpected' side effects, right? Tried and tested, completely safe! That is, of course, if there's not somepony with a secret crush also involved.

Spike's dating life, though uneventful, takes a blow after saving Fluttershy's life. Why? Because she's threatening every mare he comes into contact with! The issue is Spike doesn't like her back, and Rarity's becoming concerned.

Will Spike be able to survive Fluttershy's craziness? Will his recent injury allows him to finally score the mare of his dreams, Rarity? Will the insanity and absurdity of it all render Spike with a conclusion different from what he was expecting?

Spike's birthday has been declared an official state holiday of the Crystal Empire, and Rainbow Dash has the most awesome of presents in mind... and a Sonic Rainboom is only the beginning...

Takes place during Season 4, in between "Simple Ways" and "Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3". Mildly AU, since for story purposes Spike finds out he's a hero in the Crystal Empire prior to "Equestria Games". Otherwise, this is canon-compatible.

I don't love Spike! He's weak, small, sensitive and unlike any dragon I've met! I like him as a friend, of course—he lets me... feel things and express things and a whole lot of other things. Just... can he win this fight to become my fake partner?

This story is a sequel to A "Fun" Little Game

After the events of Discord's game, Spike is taken to a mental asylum. He was considered to dangerous to be around for the time being. As such, Twilight and her friends are working to get him out. Meanwhile, Celestia and Luna are wondering if he should be freed.

As for the Cutie Mark Crusaders, they're taken there to talk to a psychiatrist about what they had witnessed in Discord's game. While they're there, they see someone they never thought they'd see.

Meanwhile, Spike is taking Pinkamena's words to heart and debating whether or not he should expose the hypocrisy of the Princesses of Equestria.

1/12/19: This particular portion of the story is complete. There will be a fourth part in the future. (Sadness is Universal, A Fun Little Game, and Patients are all connected.)

Spike had always caught my eye, but I wasn't expectin' for him to steal my heart. After his fight with Twilight, I thought bringin' him on the farm would help him, not harm us both with a good time. Though I wonder... can I get him to like me back?
