Sugar Belle comes over to Sweet Apple Acres, crying after an incident at Sugarcube Corner. Big Mac gets the idea of having a picnic with her, to cheer her up.

A pony going by the name of Roast Pear invites Applejack, Apple Bloom, Big Macintosh, and even Sugar Belle to a Pear family gathering for certain members of the Pear family. While the Apple siblings are happy to learn a little more about their extended family, they aren't really happy about how Grand Pear and Granny Smith are excluded from this gathering because of their "crimes" against Bright Mac and (especially) Pear Butter.

Long ago, I had a mundane life. Doing the same thing every day, wishing for something new to happen. This is the escapades of the Rainbow Dash and Big Macintosh standard and the stories involving how they met to their first date and everything inbetween. A MacDash story, obviously, with side pairings thrown in. Not sure on those ones yet though. (Character list may change through the story.)

Hearth's Warming Eve has arrived at Sweet Apple Acres with the usual flurry of snow, mirth, and frenzied preparations, but all seems to be well as Big Macintosh settles down for the night. The house has been cleaned—ready to be buried under a mound of colourful scraps and sweet crumbs—the farm is enjoying one of its brief periods of rest, and the most precious things in his life are snugly tucked up in bed, ready for a day of hard-earned merriment to come. All is well.

And then Dash says two words.

Big Mac is a wise stallion. Growing up in a house full of mares he had learned that secret language that mares use. Though as good as he is, Rainbow Dash is not like any other mare out there; can he figure out her issue? Hot chocolate and snuggles always seem to help. Join Big Mac as he tries to get to the root of his fillyfriend's problem, or die trying.

Applejack and her friends has noticed that their best friend Rainbow Dash has been acting a little different lately. She seems actually happy to come to school!

While the other girls brush this change off, Applejack gets even more suspicious when she sees that her brother has been acting different as well!

Trouble ensues as Applejack is determined to find out what is causing the changes in her friend and her brother, and wonders if the changes could be related with one another.

Thunderlane awakes to find Octiava gone. He hurries out and tries to find her.

At the same time, Octavia sits at home, thinking about the previous night and wondering if she had made a mistake, leaving Thunderlane without saying anything.

Should she have stayed with Thunderlane until he woke? Should she have given him her address? Will she ever see him again? Will he come to her concert, or had she given up her one chance at love?
