A land can change in a thousand years. Many things can happen, cities and towns and villages grow and fall in that time. And with the various cultures that have passed through Equestria's history, it was inevitable that foreign artifacts would find themselves stranded on unfamiliar soil.
Such is the case with the Sky-Cutting Sword, an ancient Neiponese artifact said to posses the power to bring about the fall of the sun and moon. Like many such objects its tale has fallen to the mists of legend, its history long forgotten. But there are always those who seek power; whether or not their intentions are noble, it is inevitable that their search for power would lead them to those which may help them obtain it. And despite the dangers of searching for said artifacts, there are always those whose hunger for power is powerful enough for them to become willing to do anything to have that power in their hooves.
Now it falls to Daring Do once more to thwart her foes and snatch the Sky-Cutting Sword from their grasp, just like any other artifact she has had to find. But is she ready to give it her all, so soon after having run into a fragment of her past? Not to mention her unwanted companion, who may prove to be more troublesome than she had originally expected...
