Twilight Sparkle knows Rainbow Dash; the pegasus is her wife, after all. But ever since Twilight crashed in the Everfree forest on her way to Zecora's hut, something has been wrong with Rainbow. The mare is off, in a way Twilight can't quite explain. She's off in such a way that Twilight knows it's not the real Rainbow Dash. It's an imposter.

All she has to do is prove it, and get her real wife back.

A week ago, love was in bloom. Cadance, the Princess of Love and Shining Armor, Captain of the Royal Guard defeated and banished an invading army with the power of their love alone.

So why can't their sister start a conversation with her marefriend? They're already dating, for pony's sake! Maybe they just don't know each other well enough yet...

After an unsettling experience with Soarin, and hearing that her friends think she's gay, Rainbow Dash starts to question her sexuality.

When she finds out the truth, will it jeopardize her relationship with Soarin and perhaps her friends?

The "Sex" tag is for language. This is not a story about being gay or not gay, but on uncovering one's identity and coming out.

The night after they defeated Nightmare Moon and rescued Princess Luna, Rainbow Dash finds Twilight on a hilltop outside Ponyville, staring up at Canterlot. Afterwards, the two find themselves returning to that same hilltop night after night, discussing their crazy adventures, and the things they've never shared with anypony else.

The stresses of being Equestria's newest Princess are starting to catch up with poor Twilight Sparkle. Recently she's barely even gotten to spend time with her friends! It's just meeting after meeting with snobby nobles and arrogant diplomats.

She needs a vacation. A place to get away where nopony can bug her for a few days. And she knows just where to go, to visit her friends in the mirror world!

But how will she react when she arrives to meet... Twilight Sparkle? And she's kissing Rainbow Dash?! WHAT IN THE HAY IS GOING ON?!

After an argument with Rainbow Dash about the romance plot in the latest Daring Do issue, Twilight Sparkle constructs a machine that allows two ponies to enter a novel, in order to learn more about Rainbow's obsession with pairing Daring Do with her bookish sidekick Rosetta.

Soon, the two find themselves in a Daring Do adventure, with Rainbow taking the name part and Twilight playing Rosetta. As they deal with ancient jungle ruins, mythical artifacts and old adversaries, Twilight is starting to see the appeal of the pairing.

But after all, it is all just fiction, and what happens in a novel has little to do with the real world, right?

Set shortly after The Mysterious Mare Do Well.

Perhaps Rainbow Dash had read a few too many comic books? Seen one too many hero movies. Either way, this was not going to end well for anypony.

Rainbow Dash has decided since each of her friends (aside from Rarity) have gotten a chance, she wants to give being The Mysterious Mare Do Well a try. The only problem? Ponyville is too peaceful. It seems all the craziness that had happened the past week has passed, and there really isn't any need for a costumed crime fighter now.

Twilight, seeing Rainbow Dash's annoyance at not being able to be a hero, takes it upon herself to help her friend experience a super hero adventure. By creating the powerful, the terrifying, the surprisingly sarcastic, Professor Nightshade.

Yeah, this is totally going to end well.
