This story is a sequel to Danganronpa: In Harmony's Wake

Wallflower Blush and fifteen others are isolated in a desert town to see if ponies and humans can get along. But when the place is suddenly overtaken by the malevolent Monohuman, Wallflower must survive the resulting killing game.

Thanks to the magnificent JCarp for hopping on board to make this sequel possible.

Note: this is a direct sequel to Danganronpa: In Harmony's Wake. While not strictly required reading, much of the context will be lost upon the reader should they fail to read it first. Therefore I highly encourage you to do so. However, I have also provided a set of cliff notes, located here.

Thanks yous for pre-reading go out to Sleepless Beholder, Da Otter Guy, and the spouses of both authors.

Cover Art uses artwork from The Sleepless Beholder. Thank you massively for your artistic contribution.

Wallflower Blush has always been lonely. Hidden in the shadows. Invisible, she would say. Some time after the Memory Stone fiasco, Sunset puts it upon herself to bring Wallflower out of the shadows and take the invisibility cloak off and help the lonely gardener include herself more and make friends.
(A bunch of short but sweet slice of life chapters inspired by Komi Can't Communicate! :D)

(The Human Sunset Shimmer is the Main Protagonist).

(This takes place during Gaara's 1st year as Kazakage).

Could her life get any worse, not only was 7 year old Sunset Shimmer forced out of her home by someone who looked exactly like her, she was sent through a portal and as a result was sent to a barren desert with almost no where to go. Without any food, water, or shelter, poor little Sunset wouldn't be able to survive the harsh desert heat. She was eventually found by The Great Ninja Spider and The Ancient Sand Spirit, Kumo, and instead of being eaten, she is raised by the sacred creature. Eventually she is turned over to Gaara the Kazakage of the Hidden Sand Village, where Gaara becomes her sensei.

She also makes new friends, such as Hidden Mist Ninja Twilight Sparkle, Hidden Leaf Ninja Rainbow-Dash, and Hidden Stone Ninja Applejack and Pinkie-Pie.

But with the threats of both Corrupt Leaf Elder Danzo, Orochimaru, the Akatsuki, plus revenge crazed Rogue Ninja Sasuke Uchiha rolling around, Sunset will have to step it up to protect her new friends and the Village she calls her home.

This is the story of Sunset Shimmer, The Crimson Spider of the Hidden Sand Village.

Vignette Valencia is the worst person Wallflower Blush has ever met. She's vain, petty, materialistic. She's the kind of person that shouldn't exist outside of horror stories about social media influencers.

She's also easier to talk to than anyone else.

Struggling with conversation at the best of times, Wallflower finds Vignette's existence so baffling that it's impossible for her to be uncomfortable around her.

Winner of a committee prize in the 2022 Crackship Contest.

Huge thanks to VoxArachne for editing and prereading.

Miserably, Wallflower sighed. She was beyond the point of feeling sorry for herself. She just wished someone would.

Sunny would.

Yes, Sunset would. Wallflower knew that, but did it matter? Sunset didn’t even know of her existence until Wallflower tried to erase hers. Would it matter once Wallflower was gone? Everything would just go back to normal, and Sunset could go back to her better friends as if nothing had ever happened.

Because that’s all Wallflower was. Nothing.

CONTENT WARNING: This fic talks heavily about suicide. Please seek help if you’re thinking of harming yourself. You are loved, you matter.

Social Media can be so deeply toxic, and so many young women can be so heavily affected and stuck within the pages of pictures and vane expressions and surface-leveled appreciations. But Vignette will soon come to understand what it means to be within that sphere, and see herself as much more than the things other people online laud and tell her to be.

This story is a sequel to Recollections: A Sunflower Story

With Twilight and the Elements performing the tasks of peacemakers and ambassadors, a part of her felt a sense of emptiness inside, like a key part of her died between those thousands of years.

Despite the fact that her home was as busy as ever, she still felt useless, she could be doing more, she should be doing more. But what?

There was some truth in what she said to Rockhoof. She had her home, she had her job, and was still felt needed.

So why did she feel so empty inside? So unfulfilled? So alone?

On Cattail and Twilight's recommendation, Meadowbrook decides to take some time off in the human realm to gather herself, and to find her inner peace in a world that's moved on without her. Along the way, she will find she is not the only one facing the prosepcts of an ever-changing world the longer she stays with Sunset and Wallflower.

If there was one comfort they have, it's that they have each other.

Could be seen as a sequel to Recollections: A Sunflower Story, though it can be read as its own seprate story.

Rated Teen for violence mentions of abuse, self-harm, kissing, talks and feelings of existential dread, a tiny bit of French, and hand-holding. Read at your own discretion.

Written for the My Little Pony: Renaissance Contest and The Pillars Shipping Contest.

Special thanks to Golden Tassel for editing and pre-reading.

"It doesn't count as suicide, if you're wearing a parachute," Wallflower Blush insisted.

Copyright disclaimers: For the same of comic timing, I wrote my own completely independent lyrics and melody for a song that happens to have the same name as a song in our world. Also, the brief Emily Dickinson excerpt really is in the public domain now, having been first published in the 1800s.
