Celestia is unable to stop the two evil royal sisters, Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon knocking her out before she could destroy them. However, Daybreaker is stronger than Nightmare Moon, so Luna's evil counterpart is at a large disadvantage for the first half of the battle.
Soon, though, Nightmare Moon finds a way to increase her power, and her strength becomes equal to Daybreaker’s.
As the evil sisters battle, Celestia lays unconscious on the castle floors, Luna and Starlight trying to wake her up.

Celestia and Twilight were walking together, and while passing through the garden, they came across an old statue of a dark alicorn. Twilight, being the inquisitive little unicorn she was, asked about it, and so Celestia told her about the statue. However, before she could finish, a sudden flash interrupts her, and the sight before her eyes gave Celestia the shock of her life.

I'm Princess Celestia, but everyone calls me Cece. My life has been crazier than normal lately--my big brother Blueblood is a selfish jerk, my best friend Twilight just moved away to Ponyville, and, oh yeah--Nightmare Moon turned out to be my long-lost somethingth-Great Aunt, Princess Luna. No biggie.

But, no matter how my life is going, I'm still Princess. I've gotta keep it together. Somehow. I can make it at least until the Grand Galloping Gala in a month-and-a-half... right?

This fic is set in an alternate universe shortly after Friendship is Magic Part 2.

Twilight has to write her weekly friendship report to her mentor, Princess Luna.

The exiled Daybreaker had recently returned after a thousand years’ incarceration in the sun and been defeated by Twilight, revealing the formerly wayward Princess Celestia who is having trouble trying to adjust to contemporary Equestrian society.

Princess Luna watches over the dreams of the ponies of Equestria at night. She has faced lots of nightmares, ranging from those of a troubled foal needing to be soothed to those of an old pony still haunted by disasters past.

It's not as appreciated as what Celestia does during the day, but at least it keeps her busy.

However, she soon makes a new enemy in the form of a dream demon who has negative effects on innocent poines through their dreams. Corrupting ponies' magic, abducting souls, and even killing them.

Said demon crosses the line by kidnapping her sister's soul and not allowing her to wake up.

That demon must be stopped.

Although the play was a success, Luna was very unhappy after she and Celestia returned to the Castle. Celestia doesn't understand why her little sister is acting like such a foal, but Luna is about to give her sister piece of her mind as to why she is so frustrated.

Note that this one piece takes place shortly after the events of the MLP episode "Horse Play". If you have not seen the episode by this time, well, I suggest watching that episode first. Will help make more sense of this story.

It's been a few years since Princess Luna returned, yet Celestia has only just now realized a crucial error: Luna doesn't have a throne! How could she have overlooked her sister like that? Why didn't Luna ask?

Well, Celestia will fix that. When Luna's birthday draws near, Celestia decides it's time to finally give her little sister the gift she should've had waiting all along.

Batponies are a mysterious race, spoken of in hushed tones and in dark corners. Most ponies don't even believe they exist, and the batponies wouldn't have it any other way. However, when one is caught in the dead of night, she'll lay the foundation for her kind's place in Equestria with a few words.
And a simple gesture of trust.
