JustAnotherTimeLord

I travel space and time, searching for perfection, for safety, and for purpose. I may never find it, and I may get lost, but the important part is the journey, not the destination. Enjoy it or remiss.

    It's Been a While

I don't think I have really touched this site in a while. I keep getting notifications for replies to my comments on mainly the Austraeoh series, but I . . . well, I still wonder about this place, about everyone still here and how everyone is doing, in their literary pursuits and their personal lives, assuming we got to know each other well enough.

    6 Years

I . . . I honestly don't have much to say for this one. There aren't very many things I can say I've done for six years. Working? Nope, I started in 2013. I played percussion for seven years. I've played on Xbox Live for seven years, almost 8. I've been on YouTube Since 2009. Meh, that's whatever, I guess.

    Power At Last!

Well, it's been an entire month without power. Somehow, someway, I have been without any connection to the outside world for that long, and it's been hard. 0/10, do not recommend. :rainbowwild:

    Foalcon Fiasco Followup

So I'm done with my commenting on the newest FiMFic Drama Showcase, and I thought I would give some after thoughts and maybe elaborate my feelings on the subject in a less emotional way. Needless to say, I have gotten a little angry with how things have progressed in terms of discussion, and I've reached my limit. I'm letting it go, but here's what I have to say on the matter to end this one for

    Little Witch Academia

I find it funny that I am making this post as I am about to watch the last two episodes of Little Witch Academia, and I still haven't watched the season finale of MLP. Don't spoil anything for me! :rainbowwild: But, yeah, I am basically ass backwards right now.

Two-Year FiM Fic Anniversary (Plus Other Things All My Followers Need to See!) · 7:31pm Apr 26th, 2014

O_O

Wow. Just wow.

Two years. An entire two years. It has been two YEARS since I stepped foot on this site with a FULL account. It has been two years that I decided to be an editor for RavensDagger, where I first took my step into fan fiction. It has been two years, and I finally have a story up; in fact, I have three of them, which is a feat that I thought not even possible at the young age I was. It has been two years, and I have came to the point I am now. An entire two years. Two years.

It has been one year since I really gained followers. It has been one year since I actually become rather known on the site. It has been one year since I decided to take on another author to edit for. It has taken one year for me to really become trustworthy as an editor. All of this only in one year.

So much has happened in two years, and so much happened in one. I cannot believe that I went from someone who was a Call of Duty freak (and recovering otaku (it was close)) could go to liking My Little Pony, a socially stigmatized idea being that it was for girls. I was one of those people, you know. I used to look at trying to be as masculine as possible. I had watched Power Puff Girls as a young kid, and I had watched shows with mild romance. I had never thought anything of it. But fate would have it that I would discover true magic on the crisp (and rather old) layout of the original YouTube.

YouTube was my home back in the day. Ever since I gained my own computer in middle school, I have been on and off it for nearly five years. It was a normal day when I actually had discovered ponies. I had come home from school and got on the computer to do my usual rounds for anime and gaming channels. It was a little less anime back then, but gaming was really what I was looking for. I randomly started watching some music stuff, and I saw it: the rainbow-coloured mane and undeniably smug smile.

It was interesting how I actually didn't even listen to the original version of "20 Percent Cooler" by Ken Ashcorp. It would be nearly a year later that I noticed this fact and listened to the original. I am still in love with the song to this day. I am listening to it currently, actually. And so my brony-ness started. At first, I discovered My Little Pony majorly on Tumblr. This would be the start of a rich history that began my journey to fan fiction.

SpikeDaDragon: Origins

Tumblr became a habitual site to go to. Every single day after school, I would play games for a bit and open up Tumblr to keep up-to-date with all the then-current Tumblr blogs. As many know, My Little Pony is deeply rooted in Tumblr. It would be while I was going through Tumblr that I would find the two tumblrs that would actually be my first brony friends. Ask Cadance was one of the first tumblrs I actually followed. I found her through one of the oldest and most popular (at the time) tumblrs around.

This is one of the videos that actually attracted me to the tumblr itself. I found that in my feed once, and the song was so catchy and animated and everything that I couldn't help but to watch it over and over. And so, that is how I found Ask Cadance originally. I found her way back in the day, when her art looked like this:

Oh, she has come so far since then. Seriously, she is a badass. Look here:

Just look at that. Look at the eyes. She is one of the only people who put a lot of work into the eyes. They constantly look beautiful, and I am always in love with them. I guess it should coyly be mentioned that she is one of the first Internet crushes I ever had. Seriously, I fell in love with her voice and tried to get closer to her all the time. Her voice is so cute, and she looked pretty good when I last saw her. She also lives in Texas. It would be easy for us to meet. But it was never to be, unfortunately. It happens. And it was then, through a livestream she had going on (did I mention she sings like an angel? XD), that I met my next best friend: Ask Albinopie. Yes, I had another albino pony in my life before I met you, Albinocorn. This is why I never call you by "albino" because I have someone else who I call exclusively albino. But the worst part is that I haven't talk to him in a while, unfortunately.

He has advanced a lot since he first created this blog, too. He also has the deepest voice ever. Anyway, this is a current picture:

Okay, that's rather old indeed. XD And it is a large improvement, no? Albino and Cadance were the reasons I really got into My Little Pony. It would be soon that I would discover blogs like Ask Molestia, Ask The Crusaders, Ask Hotblooded Pinkie Pie, and many, many more. Hotblooded Pinkie Pie still holds the greatest art I have ever seen that looks like conventional pony.

Badass. The art is seriously amazing on this tumblr. And the best part about being on tumblr for so long is that I actually was able to know about this coming out long before it ever did:

And all through my tumblr years, I went under the name SpikeDaDragon, after the tumblr, of course. That would be my first Skype name and first name for almost everything. I never had it as my FiMFic name, though.

So, it was around the time I first really got into tumblr that I discovered fan fiction. Storytaylor's Tales of the Winter Magic Academy was the first story that I ever heard of. I found it in a link and followed it to this old site. By my story doesn't TRULY start there. Oh no. I have one more period in my brony life that truly defined me to be the person I am now.

SpikeDaDragon's Music Life and the Advent of JustAnotherTimeLord

As I started to move outward from Tumblr, I was able to find Equestria Daily (it sounds like it took a while before I found EqD, but I actually found it before I found Cadance's tumblr), where music was a majorly common thing to see. I was able to be a part of so many amazing things as I started to get more and more into music. I started to follow all kinds of musicians, and I was able to get to know some of the most amazing songs ever.

Here is a small list of some of the old songs that I am in love with:

Cerulean Voice, tell me what you think.

Top Three holder

Top Three holder

This is the history that I was a part of, the songs that I listened to while I was a young brony. I was around when Feather got famous, when The Living Tombstone rose to the top, when Rina-Chan started her conquest of the Twilight voice. I witnessed Equestria Daily's rise as well, to where they finally have taken over pony news. It was and still is a place where everyone at least goes one a week, if not more. This is where my history truly started. Where everything begins for my TRUE bronyness. It was also around this time that I discovered Doctor Who.

Doctor Who was a show that I had only heard about through friends. After some prodding and the access to pirating sites, I was able to get to start watching it. It was then that I began to change my FiMFic name to the infamous JustAnotherTimeLord. How did I come up with this name? Because I didn't want to be seen as someone who was trying to imitate the Doctor. I have already seen quite a bit of people just simply calling themselves "The Doctor" or "Doctor Who Fan." Those are all fine things to do (my email address is theanimeman97@gmail.com for God's sake), but I have a higher sense of subtlety and originality. So, I became JustAnotherTimeLord to go with my idea.

It would be soon (very soon) that fan fiction would take over my life. Let's chronicle my making.

JustAnotherTimeLord's Rise to Power and Conquest of Europe and Editing

I would be attracted to FiMFic by the aformentioned story, but I wouldn't stop there. Why would I? I have an entire site filled with amazing stories to choose from! And so, I would then find my way to my favourite story on this site: Transcendence. Written by Corejo so many months ago, this became one of my favourite stories ever on the site very fast. The reason why? It was the first story on this site to make me cry. Never again would I cry to a story like that (besides Fire & Rain) again. Well, not to writing. Want to know how I found out about My Little Dashie?

This was probably the saddest thing I have ever watched (well, I guess listened to). It really almost still is. I have listened to sadder things now, but this video made me cry. The emotion put into the voice acting was unbelievable. It is truly an amazing feat do even now. I would never go and read the story . . . ever. I also never favourited it, but I have given it an upvote. Now you know what I think about MLD: great thing to listen to; bad thing to read.

I would continue like this for a while: read, listen to music, tumblr, sleep, school, repeat. This was my life for the longest, but then I found RavensDagger. Now, our entire meeting is thanks to Equestria Daily and their fan fiction feature posts. One fateful day, I decided to get on Equestria Daily to do my normal news catchup. One of Raven's stories was being featured: Of Steam Gears and Wings. It would actually be this story that gets me into Steampunk art and stories. I owe Raven for that.

So, I read his story and loved it. I then continued to read his updates, and it was then that he was featured on a stream. On that stream, I asked a simply question: what if we want to help with editing and such? Why did I ask this? Because I had already been doing it. Raven released one of his actual stories for reading on Google Docs: Of Kids and Crushes. On there, I was able to comment about things.

So, I have been editing for almost two years now, technically. It was because of me putting comments on OCaK that I was able to become friends with Raven and eventually his editor.

RavensDagger. . . . I owe him for everything I am, everything I will be, and so much more. He is the reason I ever decided to edit. In fact, he was the first person to teach me how to write. It was because of him that I have tried to write better, become an accomplished author on this site. He is the reason for it all, and I cannot repay him for what he has done. All I can say, Raven, is that you are probably one of the greatest guys I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and I will never forget the friendship we still share, no matter what happens.

And so, I became Raven's editor. I edited tons of stories right from the start, starting with Of Steam Gears and Wings. It would then move to Of Challenges and Kisses, Of Course, Of Apples and Roses and Think Purple Proses, and so on. This would be the only person I edited for for quite a while. Then, something amazing happened. Let's tell this story with pictures:

And the rest is history. Say hello to one of my best friends on the Earth and second person to ever edit for: ToixStory. Toix, as you have seen, had approached for editing his actual story: Freeze Frame. It would be soon that I would be talking with her on Skype for . . . well, a long time every night. We would stay up LATE, like 2:00 AM every night just talking to each other. I would help her through her worst bouts of depression, where she needed me to be there for her. I would be around to help her excel at writing, saw her evolve into probably one of the best writers I know. She has come so far since I first met her, and . . . well, I owe her a lot.

I owe you almost too much, Toix. You have not only defined me as an editor by making me mover outward, you have defined me as a person through the many talks about morality and politics and . . . just so much. You have really had a major effect on my life, an effect that I cannot help but thank you for. Thank you so much. So very much.

It would be during this time that I would make my first forays into writing, where I failed . . . a lot. In fact, here are some docs for you to choose from. I'll include a short description before you can go and see the rest:

When Light Fades to Dark

A self-insert story, When Light Fades to Dark revolves around me (though not by name) being sucked into Equestria by a mysterious crystal, find the main six, become friends with them and have Twilight transform me into a pony, and then figure out that Discord is going to use me to destroy both Equestria and Earth.

The Truth About History

Revolving around Twilight, this story has her go through a series of intense nightmares after reading some horrifying things in a book about ancient monsters. It is then, through her dream, that she begins to question the safety of Equestria since there have been so many beings and monsters thought to be myths came to life. The story really starts with Twilight investigating the safety of Equestria after the CMC run into a thought-to-be-extinct animal.

Story Idea

This revolves around a man, Jonathan Richards, as he survives a zombie apocalypse. This is the first part or so of the story that I had written out.

Of Challenges and Kisses Alternative Ending

This was my rendition of how the ending of Of Challenges and Kisses should have gone.

Nightmares Don't End When You Wake Up V. 1

This is the original version of Nightmares that I ever wrote. This is how the story was going to be set and how I wrote back in the day.

Nightmares Don't End When You Wake Up V. 2

This is the second version of Nightmares I made. This was the start of me taking a different turn for the story. After that, I make the original version of Nightmares and then rewrote it.

And so, thanks to Raven and Toix pushing me forward, I had those writing ideas. Someone who I constantly forget about but has had an effect on my life is Sorren. I got to know Sorren through Raven, and we became instant friends, really. I still like the kid. I became his editor of sorts after Raven asked me to get to know him more. He said that he was usually lonely or something, so I decided to hang out with him for a bit. I then started to edit Of Aerial Dominance. Might I just say that this is one of the better stories I have read, and it is simply amazing. You guys need to read it. It is worth it.

It would then be that I discover my next best friend ever: The Albinocorn. I met him a year ago and got hired on to help edit his stories. I was drawn in by his story Crusaders, Go! It was a fantastic and heartwarming story that I found to be really different. It worked out being one of the cooler stories I have read, and then I began work on Sunset of Time. This would be the story that my efforts would be most moved towards. See, I remember nights where Albinocorn and I would stay up late discussing the story and its intricacies. Seriously, it is a deep story that took a long time to work out all the way. I am just happy to see it be so successful.

He would be one of the first people I would move into Equestria Daily. I had already helped Toix get Reach on to Equestria Daily, and there were quite a few stories that I helped Raven get to Equestria Daily. I would be almost a year ago that I would also get signed on with another person to edit for, another person that I love so much but rarely get to spend time with: Kwakerjak. Originally, over a year ago he sent out a blog post in which he asked for people to help edit his stories. Seeing as I was in a very charitable mood and wanted to be stupid and take on more people to edit for, I responded and said for him to hit me up when he needs me. It would actually be quite a few months before he actually responded, but it was at that point that I started taking on a good work load and created a name for myself throughout the site. I started editing for Pandelirium, the final story in his Petriculture Cycle. I also took on Flash Fog, another fantastic story that I really need to read in full.

Now, here's what's special about Kwakerjak that I admire about him: he has impeccable grammar and is extremely intelligent. It kind of seems like I am kissing up to him, but I am not joking here with that. I was hired on as a PREREADER, he said, and that is exactly what I really do. I just read over his stuff and make sure that it all works well together. I rarely find any grammar errors, and if I do, there is a good chance that he is going to come up with a better reason for the lack of a comma or something. Not only that but he is a great person to just simply talk with. The only problem is the age gape between him and his other editors and I. Like, seriously, him and all of his other editors are older than me by at least seven years. It is really kind of . . . I don't know, disconcerting. I was kind of overwhelmed with the fact that everyone else was older than me and knew more than me. I decided to stick around anyway, and here I am now. I think that they are all really awesome guys and hope to get to talk with them throughout the summer.

After I had signed on with Kwakerjak, things started to develop rather fast for me. After marking all of the errors in Ruirik's final chapter of his story Fire & Rain, he decided to consider me for future projects. That is how I actually ended up getting to edit The Cellist of Saraneighvo, Wind and Stone, and Feathers of Blue and Gold. Through this, I was able to develop a fantastic relationship with Ruirik, and I enjoy every moment we get to talk. Mainly because he only ever sends me the most ridiculous links ever that make me laugh far harder than they should warrant, but it is also because I really like the guy. He has aspirations and has fought tooth and nail to try and strive for them. I have always been behind him and have hoped for him to accomplish everything he wants to. He also is one of the few people that can draw AND write, which is why I am extremely jealous of him.

After Ruirik came Spacecowboy, one of the few people that actually APPROACHED me to edit. I was signed on to edit his story (Re)Birth Through Fire. Now, here's a good story for you guys to hear. So, not many know this, but I generally despise HiE stories. I have a massive dislike for them that was (unfortunately) brought about thanks to me being generally malleable mentally. I am easily swayed from my own thoughts based on those of others. If a massive amount (or close friends) dislike something, then I learn to dislike it as well. I never really have the ability to create my own thoughts because I am always adopting others.

However, (Re)Birth became the first HiE story I have ever liked. Ever. To this day, I do not enjoy any other HiE story as much as this one. Why? Because it is different. It is a completely original idea that is really entertaining to read. It is because of this that I stayed on with him, and Spacecowboy became a valuable friend of mine. To this day he pesters me with crazy story ideas that . . . are really fucking awesome. Everything he comes up with is original and different. And the crazy thing is that he (like ToixStory and many other friends) comes up with most of the stuff for his story on the spot. I have no idea how he does it, but he does.

After Space came Regidar. Yes, I have edited for Regidar before. How did I end up getting to edit for someone as popular as him? Well, its an interesting story. I was on Skype really late one night, and he randomly said in a chat that he needed a prereader or editor. Seeing as I was already up and have always wanted to edit for someone who is as popular as him, I decided to take up the call. Surprisingly, he didn't think in a million years that he would end up snagging me for an editor. It was through Regidar that I realized I had created a name for myself on the site because he knew of me and my work.

He signed me on for his best story so far: Hospice. This story really had an effect on me. Regidar is truly a master of emotional writing, as I really couldn't help but tear up while reading this story. It is really deep, and it is truly an honour to have edited that story. I have to say, Regi, you are definitely one of the cooler guys I have had the pleasure of knowing, and you write really damn well. Never forget that fact. Ever.

Void Chicken is an interesting one. See, originally I had asked if I could help edit his newest and still most popular story, Three Hundred and Fifty. The funny story behind that is . . . well. . . .

Yeah. . . . I guess not everything can be a chanced meeting, huh? Well, I let him finish the story up, and after it was finally finished, I decided to ask him again. Turns out that he finally DID let me go ahead and edit it, and I wasn't being pretentious! I was able to talk with him, and he is actually a really nice guy. He also decided to show me all of his backburner stories that he isn't going to continue, and they are all actually . . . really fantastic. I am not sure why he decided to abandon them, but it is his choice. After a while, he then contacted me again to edit for probably one of his craziest stories: Rainbonomicon. I have never felt so odd but laughed so hard at reading a story. It was a fantastic ride with laughs all around. But I should just say, Void, that you are a great writer, and I would love to see you try and excel at what you do so well. Seriously, keep at it. You have a future at it.

Next up comes some of the newer people that I started to edit for. CvBrony actually hired me on after I sent him a rather in depth review of his story up to the point it was at. He started me with Rites of Ascension, by far one of the most expansive universes I have ever had the honour of dealing with. He showed me a good amount about how to build a world, and it is because of his example (along with Toix's ability to create OCs and her inherent ability to also create awesome universes) that I am able to do what I can now as a writer. He next showed me Designing Intrigue, one of the only stories that I think really fleshes out Rarity's character. It shows a side of her that really is never fully seen, and it all fits together perfectly.

After that, I started to edit other small stories surrounding his universe. It is amazing how expansive it is, truly. Cv is by far one of the most amazing writers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He also has a wife who draws beautifully and has my instant respect for surviving cancer. Truly amazing. I do not see us ever coming to a point where we won't be great friends.

After Cv came DuskShadowTheArkane, an unfortunately neglected person that I edit for. We don't get to talk much due to timezone difference (he lives in Germany), and I completely forgot about his story for . . . well, a long time. However, the guy writes rather well on his story Twilight's Life, a story that is probably one of the cutest things ever. I always get really fluffy inside when I read any part of his story. He is also enjoyable to talk with. I hope to be able to get to talk with him more.

Now, I thought I should mention her because I HAVE edited for her, but I am not her main editor. Serina is one of those girls that I always seem to find, though this was more by extension. Toix knew her originally, and since Toix and I were such good friends, and I was an editor, he decided to move me to Serina so I could edit and help her get to Equestria Daily. I was actually very happy to help. I took on the task with a smile, and then I really got to know Serina. She is nice, smart, funny, and can write pretty damn well. Specifically, My Mommy and My Dearest Friend were her two stories that were truly very well written and unbelievably cute. That is what she is really good at: writing cute. She has also given me TwiDash pictures before. She's got a really good eye.

Anyway, she is really awesome, and I am glad I was able to get the chance to meet her. After Cv, I was able to get a spot with the most followed author on the site and one of the authors I admire, Pen Stroke. Say what you will and say what you might about Pen Stroke, but he is not a bad guy, and Past Sins is not a bad story. It has some overused character types, but it was a very good story overall.

Pen Stroke sent out a blog post about wanting editors for his newest story, From the Depths. I was happy to be able to snag a spot in one of the first people to respond. Through using my most popular stories that I have edited, I was able become a part of his editing team. I was working along side with amacita, Alexstraza, Batty Gloom, and The Illustrious Q. It was an amazing achievement for me to be a part of something like that, even though it really isn't at all. I don't know why it amazed me so much. Either way, I have been editing for Pen Stroke for a while now, and I have enjoyed doing so very much.

And finally, 3Power. 3Power is one of those authors that you, once again, only dream of actually getting to talk to because he has such a massively popular story. Well, since he went about rewriting his most popular story, My Little Mommies, he needed a group of editors to help him out with it. So, after randomly coming across the blog post in which he asked, I decided to sign on for the ride. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to talk to him too much, but I do think it should be known that he is a fantastic author! Seriously, 3, you write really well. I loved the original version of the story, and I love the current version. Keep on doing what you do best!

The Legend of JustAnotherTimeLord Grows

Before I ever even released my first story, I had already developed quite a reputation for myself simply due to being active. I remember how I used to dominated The Writer’s Group’s threads. I would always be the first to comment, and I would always try and make a meaningful one. This is actually how I gained quite a few of my followers. People simply happen to see me everywhere and follow me

When I first released my story, though, everything changed. If you didn’t look at the links I posted with the versions of Nightmares through time, here is a small description of what the story was ORIGINALLY going to be about:

Luna comes back after being blasted by the Elements of Harmony, but she still has that biting idea that nothing has changed, no matter how much Celestia says that things have. One night, she stays up and reminisces on old memories of Canterlot. She then goes through a flight above the city, but in the middle of it, she hears the sounds of ponies still up. Upon further inspection, a foal and her mother are still up, the foal’s mother reading stories. The story happens to be about Luna. The foal herself is actually quite in love with Luna and her story, and so this intrigues Luna. She listens in to the story (one that actually happened), and then Celestia appears once it ends.

After some talk about the past and how things have changed, Luna returns to the castle feeling better than ever. End.

Yeah, it wasn’t my best idea. However, I felt very confident about it . . . originally. Afterwards, I changed it to be more emotional and be a deeper inspection of Luna and her assimilation into modern society. However, it was more of a partial idea that wasn’t really fully realized. I only changed some parts, but I kept major parts of the original writing. It would be later that I completely changed the idea. Then, I changed it again, updated with my current writing style and grammatical knowledge. I truly am in love with that story.

The next story idea I had was Once Upon a Midnight Dreary. This is by far my most ill-received story that in terms of both comments and dislikes. Specifically, I talked with Shadowflash (the guy who actually accepted my story) about what he thought of the story, and he bluntly said it was “wasted potential.” One of the first comments dug into my unfortunate problem with repetition (I have this problem in real life, so this is reflected in my writing). Overall, I truly feel that that story was pretty much a failure; however, I am truly happy I wrote it.

The story was my first foray into writing Twilight, and one of the first comments blatantly stated I did it wrong. This is highly informative, and this led me to look at how others wrote her. So far, I believe I can easily write Twilight. This also allowed me to experiment with large ideas. Specifically with my story, it revolved around the truly horrible act that Twilight and the rest of the gang committed in basically trying to starve off an entire race. Instead of seeking a diplomatic solution, running and gunning became the first course of action. These types of scenarios are very trite in today’s culture, and I would much rather see logical solutions made.

But what this story truly did for me was allow me to take a finer look at my writing in a technical standpoint. With Once Upon a Midnight Dreary, I tried to improve my show v. tell problem. I also wanted to write an action-packed adventure story that would allow me to flex my writing muscles in a way never done before. Overall, though it was a failure, it truly helped me improve.

And finally, my most popular story, ”You’re a Vampire, Fluttershy.” was a chance taken in the hopes of writing comedy that is . . . well, good. In the end, it was highly received, and I was complimented on my writing. While doing so, I actually tried rather hard to try and use all the experience I had earned and knowledge gained, and it seemed to work out just fine.

JustAnotherTimeLord Now

As you all know, I am currently 17 years old, am a Junior in high school, and work at Taco Bell as the drive-thru guy. I am the editor of many authors, have over thirty successfully edited stories, and have written three stories so far that have accrued me 191 followers overall. I love every single one of my followers, and I feel great knowing that I have people that follow me because of me.

And so, here goes the special part. Does this number mean anything to you?

5,552,423

I am going to guess that the majority of you cannot guess what it is that I am talking about. Well, that is the EXACT count (taken using two calculators and an hour's time) of words I have read since I first joined this site, though that is only counting my favourites. I didn't use the favourites button too much in the beginning, so it may be off by a bit. Either way, five and a half million words in two years. That is a shit load of horsewords to go through. I am actually rather proud of that number, and I hope to make my way all the way to ten million in another two years. Who knows.

So, my last action before I finally end this blog post. I would like to, once again, thank all of my followers for sticking around with me either for a few months or two entire years. Unfortunately, Storytaylor will always be my first follower. Thank you, Storytaylor. I hope that you will one day return to FiM Fic.

Second, I am going to go around and message EVERY SINGLE PERSON whose story I have read a thank you for writing and existing. It is the least I can say for the amount of enjoyment I have had with this site. There is no way I can ever repay them for it, but I can damn sure try.

This is JustAnotherTimeLord, signing off once again. I'll see you starside.

P.S.: Let it be known that there are quite a lot of people that I have met here on FiM Fiction that did not actually end up in this blog post, such as Malus Scriptor, Azusa, Fred, Scootareader and the rest of the TDO news team, and so many, many more people. You are all very important to me, and you have all affected my life in some way, whether it be in simply bringing a smile to my face or making me want to kill you. Trust me, it is all love in some way, shape, or form. Thank you all for being the awesome people that you are.

Oh snap, I ended up in there.

your work on hospice helped make it into the royal guard, an honor which i cannot thank you hard enough for helping me achieve
godspeed you time emperor

There was another albino before me?

I THOUGHT WHAT WE HAD WAS SPECIAL! :raritydespair:

And I should really add more chapters to Crusaders, Go!, huh?

Don't worry! You are the only Albinocorn in my life. XP

I read your entire blog post. I also picked out a couple errors. :moustache:

You are far better than I at description, prose, and progression editing, but I still reserve my gift as a grammar Nazi as being something you can't win at yet. :raritywink: You're still a better editor than I am, in my opinion.

I also aim to edit for the little guy now. :rainbowdetermined2: Stories like this one (if there are errors, it's because he changed them before it went live) and this one are what I've done most recently... which is pretty depressing, since I've done so little work, heheh. I've always been really fussy about who I edit for, and my falling away from Raven's flock has only furthered my distancing of myself from any kind of reliable editorial role. That, also, you're superior to me in: You can be counted on when you say you can do something because you really, really want to do it. I only really want to do it, but I don't handle stress easily and editing doesn't relieve stress, so I fill up my life with doing stress-relief stuff and have very little time for editing. :ajsleepy:

That being said, I would love to work with you in an editorial role sometime in the future; I just highly doubt we'll ever happen across the same story to edit anymore. :pinkiesad2: I just can't really count on myself to edit often anymore, so anything you can give me is a bad idea; I'll only end up hurting your reputation and making you lose authors. I know you'd help if I asked, though.

Also, I still expect to meet you at Everfree Northwest in the next couple years. They have the best writing track.

Also, I'm really glad that I set it so that Flash doesn't load automatically anymore.:twilightsheepish:

Wow dude. That's pretty fucking awesome. Just... wow. We all have a story and getting to read all that... Thank you for sharing. ^_^ You know, you're part of the reason why I decided to even start editing horsewords. I learned I had an affinity for editing, but I never even considered editing on here till I got talking with you, way back when before you even had any fics published.

Man, you've certainly had a major impact on my life, and I love you for it.

Pony on, man.

*skips to part about me*
*squees*
*skips the rest*
:rainbowwild:

Nah, I'm just joking. This was a great and heartfelt blogpost and I am so proud to be a part of you life, Sunny Jim. Here's to another two good years, to old friends and new, and to adventures that lay in wait.

This blog... such an insane amount of detail.

You've made such an incredible journey with your bronyhood. Not only sitewise, but as an actual person. It really goes to show that friendship really is magic.

I remember meeting you. You were the one to recommend the first story I ever dared to submit to Twilight's Library. It would have been rejected, had it not been for your ninjarific skills at plucking it out from among the other entries first. From then on, almost every story I've submitted has been accepted and that (along with being multi-featured on Equestria Daily) was one of the greatest self-esteem boosts I could have earned from anyone.
Burning Day Brethren was subsequently featured on The Royal Guard's first ever post. I will hold that accolade in particular with honour.
I started lurking around places, noticing that whenever you had something to say in a thread, or on a story, it always came out as intelligent.

Then I started editing for The Albinocorn. At the time, I didn't actually realise you were working on Sunset of Time as well, or Long Road to Friendship for that matter. When I finally did realise, I sorta had a bit of a mental twitch. "Wait, have I just gone over and pulled out things about SoT that TL has approved before?" :twilightoops: You can imagine how I felt to know I was working on two of my absolute favourite stories alongside you. Even when you'd call me out on a few "different" suggestions of mine (and our arguments about oxford commas—that'll never get old :derpytongue2:), I still have to say I enjoyed it. Because your corrections/reprimands have helped me become a better writer/editor overall.

I have nothing but the utmost respect for you and the works you've touched. You've been a part of so much history on this site, something I cannot hope to achieve. I simply came into the fandom too late.

You actually watched the MtM reading of MLD? Dude, that was what got me into reading fanfiction at all! I started with Upheaval: Breaking Point and just blitzed through tonnes of stories after that. My life was in a very shitty place at the time; I was only getting one shift a week at work and I was depressed about not even being able to afford to eat properly. Reading fimfics blazed the days away and gave me the ability to forget about my woes. At least, temporarily.

Thank you for your recommendation to read Austraeoh. I will never forget how sharing Rainbow Dash's journey with her made me feel.

Cerulean Voice, tell me what you think.

Mate. How in the hay have I never heard that before? I might have to put Balloon Party on my purchase list. Acoustic and Prince are an amazing combo.
Also, you know me too well now, it seems.

Here, let me raise you to my favourite Prince song:

And one of my other all-time favourites:

This guy does not get anywhere near enough attention. He plays all his own instruments (except the drums) and has been a major inspiration in my own writings. I listen to his music almost every day, it's that amazing. He even made me a song for my own story!

Also, shoutout! :pinkiehappy:

I would like to think that what I've done on this site has benefited others as well as myself. I know I've helped people. I know others have appreciated my work, my features of their stories, my editing and comments... but I will never be able to match the scale to which you've done so. I could try to make a blog like this myself at the end of August for my own site anniversary... but I would not have 1/10 of the amount of meaningful stuff to tell people as you have.

Keep it real, TL. Keep being a "cool guy" everywhere.
And about your latest review of that story where the author dismissed you as arrogant—tell them to shove it. Far as I'm concerned, you're one of the most qualified people here to tell others what they can improve on.

You should totes read more of my works. :ajsmug:

That was a nice read and I'm truly happy you have had such an incredible journey.

Come august I will have been on here for 2 years myself and in that time, I am most thankful for finding people like you.

While I don't really know you on a personal level, I always thought you were a pretty great guy from your blogs and other posts I've seen.

I don't really have much else to say but I wish you the best in all your future plans. :)

I also picked out a couple errors.

So did I. But then I decided to not give a shit. XD

And being a grammar Nazi is indeed not entirely me. I have a level of "giving a shit" depending on the situation. But if I am editing, you can be sure that I am going to tell you everything wrong. Thanks for the kind words and constant admiration of me. I would like to think that I am proficient at editing, and it really means a lot when others tell me that. But know that I am not the BEST. I can still use some more knowledge in key areas, but that is for the years to come.

I decided to pick out a shit load of my favourite songs and such because yes. XP Also, sorry you didn't play a major part in my blog post. However, I did want to mention you because you are you. XP

2050111
Wow. That's really amazing. Thanks for the praise, though I doubt I truly deserve it. I am still not the best. But if I had an effect on you in some way, then that makes me feel like 6 Million Bucks.

2050839
With how amazing the one year I have known you has been, I am sure two years will be crazy. :raritywink:

This blog... such an insane amount of detail.

It took me three to four days to complete it because I had to basically remember my past and all the places I had been. But I knew that I wanted to make sure that this blog post was something special, as the anniversary is something special to me.

And it is interesting how that situation played out for you. I am actually amazed that one simply decision by me was able to bring upon . . . well, a lot of things for you. I'm not sure what to think of that, really. It is hard to wrap my head around, really.

I have nothing but the utmost respect for you and the works you've touched. You've been a part of so much history on this site, something I cannot hope to achieve. I simply came into the fandom too late.

History isn't made; it's written. Go and write your history.

I will never forget how sharing Rainbow Dash's journey with her made me feel.

I'm not going to lie when I say that I cried. A lot. Like, a lot a lot.

And one of my other all-time favourites:

It was actually pretty damn good. PrinceWhateverer is a great musician and singer.

This guy does not get anywhere near enough attention. He plays all his own instruments (except the drums) and has been a major inspiration in my own writings. I listen to his music almost every day, it's that amazing. He even made me a song for my own story!

I'm currently listening to this song, and it is really great. :yay:

I know others have appreciated my work, my features of their stories, my editing and comments... but I will never be able to match the scale to which you've done so.

Life isn't about matching someone else's achievements; it's about making your own. Living in the shadow of someone else is not a way to live at all.

I could try to make a blog like this myself at the end of August for my own site anniversary... but I would not have 1/10 of the amount of meaningful stuff to tell people as you have.

If it's meaningful to you, then that is enough. Others will come and listen.

You should totes read more of my works. :ajsmug:

I've been poking around at your stories a bit, though I have yet to read anything. I'll add them all to my read later list.

2051332
You don't need to have a massive reply like some people. The fact that you came for me is enough to make me feel fantastic. Thanks for following me!

2052027 Of course. You're very welcome. :)

2052616 And it goes without saying, we love you. :)

2051954
I think I still have some knowledge to impart as far as grammar. That's why I'd like to work with you some more; we both have things to teach each other, and what better way than by editing a story?
