So I'm done with my commenting on the newest FiMFic Drama Showcase, and I thought I would give some after thoughts and maybe elaborate my feelings on the subject in a less emotional way. Needless to say, I have gotten a little angry with how things have progressed in terms of discussion, and I've reached my limit. I'm letting it go, but here's what I have to say on the matter to end this one for good. I would like to ask that if you do read my post, read all of it, and read carefully. I don't want rash statements made without reading all that I have to say.
Foalcon is not illegal. You are well within the realms of the law if you decide to write a story about fiction, cartoon, and underage ponies having sex in different and odd ways. You are within the bounds of site rules if you decide to post that kind of stuff. Basically, nothing is stopping you from doing this stuff, and nothing is going to. You do as you see fit.
People complaining about it every time are, indeed, an annoyance, and I myself accept the fact I am part of a problem I realize. However, I have gone out of my way to appear to be a dick so that a point can be made. Foalcon is literally undefendable, and I will fight this till I die. And that's fine. It's fine to engage in behavior that isn't hurting anybody that also makes no sense and can't be rationalized.
The main thing is that you can't bridge underage pony sexual attraction to underage human attraction, and you most definitely can not then act on those desires and attraction. Most people, as far as I know, don't rape children after posting their latest chapter of the CMC Sex Brigade. That's a fantastic thing, but here's my problem.
Don't normalize this shit. Don't act like that you're somehow right because you're so inclusive of other ideologies. This isn't something you should feel good about supporting. This isn't something that people should feel good about enjoying, but you can't stop that, and I frankly don't care to. I'm just tired of the excuses.
Just because this site is so inclusive of people with, in the grand scheme, extremely deviant interests doesn't mean you get to continue using the same old poorly rationalized defenses. You don't get to cry about people ganging up on you for writing foalcon or liking it.
What you get to do is have a generally safe place to engage in creating, reading, and discussing these deviant fetishes and interests you have. You can tell people to stop commenting, and you'll be right. You can tell people to stop attacking you personally, and you'll be very right. However, if you try to defend your content or the belief of foalcon, you're wrong.
End of story. Full stop. Don't defend your interests. Defend yourself. What you like is what you like, and you don't need to validate yourself to anyone else but yourself.
If you have a problem with this, feel free to discuss this with me in a calm fashion. I'll do the same, and we can have civil discourse on this issue.
