:fluttercry: poor vinyl...I haz a sad now...

This is just truly life, the other side of it all if you do not make it. We read about Vinyl and her greatness of DJ'ing but you, you flipped it on its head and did the opposite and I enjoyed it. Yes, it was sad that it happened :fluttershysad: but still its a really great story.
What made you write this?

1923859 I probably depressed her with my sucide fic.

This is going into read later ONLY because I have work in about 20 minutes. Going to read this on my breaks though. (can I get a quiet yay for Iphones?:yay:?)

I is very sad now...Poor Vinyl....Great story though :pinkiehappy:

I hate slice o lifes. Real good. Read on Joshs recommendation, though id have found it anywyas.

One thing:
When she was standing at the music hall, she was saying she'd good there when she had a bad day or was bored or whnever she wanted. Later, it said she grew up in Manehattan.

Thought id point that out. Great story. Have like, fave and follow (why don't you have my eye yet? Huh.).

1925441 I'm an idiot. Thank you for noticing that. I'll edit it later.

You Miss have impressed me once again i.imgur.com/v06N8.gif

This was so incredible sad.
Good job, very good job.
I guess you have yourself another watcher. :raritywink:

Read it on my break at work. And I feel that somewhere here is an author that just needs a hug.

This needs another chapter if you ask me. Too much unresolved, and I would like to see a come back.

(and I was gonna point out that plot hole too but that other guy beat me to it.)

This did a really good job of capturing a character's despondency and bitterness. I especially like how the fic, though short, gradually broke Vinyl's dreams further. It made it easier to develop an attachment to her and really feel bad for her.

I kinda wanna read a continuation of this, now.

1925696 Hmm, you know you're not the only one who's asked that, but as of now, I'm kind of busy and have little to no time, although, maybe next month, or sometime around that, I'll see if I can whip something up. I'd hate to disappoint such great fans and followers like yourself.

This is really good:twilightsmile:

It was sad all the way but because it wasn't too long, it didn't get heavy handed.
Something about the pacing confused me, but that's probably just me:pinkiehappy:

I'll read some more of yours. :raritywink:

Ohhh, great, a sad story but... i'll follow it!

:fluttercry:any chance of more?

(Joke) Alt. Title: Untitled (Dubstep Remix)
Y'know, I read this on FanFiction(dot)Net and, at the time, I did feel a little sad regaarding Vinyl's situation (and the lack of reviews), but all I can think of now whilst thinking about this... Is this:

And this:

Hmmmm, is this just supposed to be depressing? I'm still young, but isn't life supposed to be downs AND ups?.... Poor Vinyl just sinks lower and lower.... Write another chapter/an epilogue/two extra sentences which suggest things start to look up a bit (even though it doesn't necessarily mean they will), somepony lending a friendly hoof! You even say so, someponies applaud once in a while.... but that's it....
As AJ says in an episode I can't recall, nothing's easy, nothing's too hard :ajsmug:! (or is it only SGAP? I'm a lot into SGAP these days ^^)

1927949
Life isn't always downs and ups; sometimes, it's all the way down the highway.

Ah princess!
I didn't realize it was you whose story I was reading
Rather well done, if i say so myself *clap clap*

Now, as a mare, all she wants is fame.
She wants ponies to look back on their life in about a decade or so and say, "Yeah, I grew up with the kicking beats of Vinyl Scratch."; is that really too much to ask? Just to make it? To have her face seen somewhere? Her name popular in least one little town? Just one? She'd be happy with that. It'd be something!
She has nothing now.
And just like how she forgot about the ponies she held close, it seems as if they forgot about her.
Only a few months after her arrival in Canterlot, her parents (well, more or less, her mother) stopped sending money to help. Her best friend stopped writing letters. That one stallion she met, the one she sang with on her second single, he knew her for only a few weeks and then accused her of being crazy.
... She feels like, everyday, that she's lost everything she's ever had. Because of being so obsessed with the stars in her eyes.

*sniff*
Beautiful.

Overall, very impressive, especially for such a young writer! Vinyl's plight is, sadly, all too common in the cutthroat music industry.

GOD FUCKING DAMN IT!!! Why do I have to rely on outer sources for emotion, would somepony please point me towards something a lot happier.

2339173 Lolz. I didn't even remember this story, let alone the comment. :facehoof: Thanks for directing me to another story though.

2340087 it's a really good one, you should totally read it! plus, the authors are making a sequel around this summer, so there's that to look forward to! :yay:

2340570 The only thing left to say is this: Blunt the knives, bend the forks, smash the the bottles, and burn the corks!

Ok. There better be a sequel. Or at least post an epiloge! Please?:applecry:

That was wonderful. It was quite a powerful story, and I'm impressed that you were able to hold true to the stereotypes of Vinyl's fanon character while simultaneously subverting them. Thank you.

D=
Wow... that... hit me... right in the feeeeeeeeeeeelz man...
Like, a dump truck, carrying sadness, just hit me right in the stomach and fell off into a river of sorrow.
Poor Vinyl! D'= This was so sad, man.

I'll be her number one fan, and buy all her shiz.
:rainbowkiss: legit, nopony makes Vinyl sad, nopony

Nicely done.
