Twilight Sparkle's mother has always loved her daughter no matter what. However, ever since Celestia sent her to Ponyville she has been feeling saddened to barely see her anymore. Unable to express herself without spreading her downtrodden feelings to others, she keeps it stored away from the world.
Though every night, when the moon is high and everypony is asleep, she takes a little bit of time to desperately soothe her heart, and to remember the past.

There has to be more like this. I mean, there're so many sad Celestia-Twilight stories, even though these two were together all those years. Naturally are many of them well done, but I always see a great Twilight-Parents relationship. Why no sad one's. I'm no mother, but I know it would break her heart to have me gone, as it seems forever!

It didn't quite earn a favorite from me, though that's probably because it's pulling on a lot of emotions that only a parent can truly relate to (thus, I can't). Still, it definitely earned a like. ^.^

I almost thought that Twilight was supposed to be a changeling there for a minute, what with her randomly showing up when Velvet is at her lowest, and that part where she shushed Night Light made me think that he was about to say something along the lines of "what are you talking about, I never sent her anything of the sort." and the changeling wanted to see the Photo album to better impersonate the young student of Celestia.
