So how can I harm her? What can I do? Do I protect her, save her from this terrible fate?

Still a good read, though.
There have been plenty of fics inspired, based-on, or even a direct continuation of MLD. However, this is the first time I have ever seen a prequel.
I was not disappointed.
I realize I have no credentials other than the fact I am just a reader, but I thoroughly enjoyed this story.
Yes, many decry and boo the various works that have come about due to MLD. But this one was not only well-written (comparitively), but also managed to bring me into the world and give me reason to sympathize and relate to Josh.
You not only actually added onto the original work, but you made this story stand on its own.
