this was an interesting one. might've been better to have it from rainbows pov but having it be sunset isnt necessary bad, and I imagine it was much easier to write it this way. having a phone call be the mode of communication between the two was definitely a good move though.
my theory is that she was so distracted by her thoughts, she ran into a wall or something and called sunset as a ghost

Glad you found it interesting. The reason I made the story be from Sunset's POV is because I thought it would make it creepier and add to the mystery if the only details for what's happening on Rainbow's end are what Rainbow herself describes. Makes everything more ambiguous, you know.

Plus there's the lack of people, magic that stops working, and the bizarre focus on the train tracks.
The most likely explanation is that she's dead.

That's well thought out actually. I'll be real, I had no explanation in mind when I wrote this story; I left it completely up to interpretation. But that makes a lot of sense.
Part of me wants to say this is a prank. But Rainbow would never go that far.
I'm guess she found another magical being sent through the portal by Starswirl. And now the girls are going to have to find it and fight it to save Rainbow. Hopefully she'll be alive and honestly thats not impossible. Rainbow is filled to the brim with powerful magic and this thing seems to be something that cancels magic. It might question her or try to drain her magic rather then just turning it off. But that might just be me being hopeful.

Please, write an ending to this!!! I won't be able to sleep without knowing the ending!!! I love Rainbow Dash but it's fun if something bad happens to you favourite character. Isn't it?
I was scrolling through fimfiction.net when I saw one of your stories. It was 'A Flash of Lightning'. I loved that one. Though, it was kinda sad when Rainbow's dream was...well...a dream. I loved that story so I opened your profile to read more stuff like that. I wanted to read something that included Rainbow Dash so I opened this. I loved it but please write an ending to this. At this point, I'm begging you.
