Big Macintosh is a stallion of many secrets. But none are kept from the one thing in all of Equestria that will never think ill of him, never berate him, never hurt him. The one who understands. Smarty-Pants the sweet one, the loving, the caring.

Wow, I just finished reading The Equestrian Resident and then I went to the homepage... and what do I see? Another interesting story, so I click it. And then I see its by the same author... Both have been good storys. Was Equestrian Resident a sequel to something? I remember quite well that there were two other storys featuring Bad Apple, and one of them was him at the Gala which was mentioned in yours. Did you write those or were you just continuing for a different author??? Either way you did very good. 5 Stars for both storys.

Formatting issues, due to the site, I guess, but overall, a good read. I think I saw this in EQD a few months ago, on Google docs, right?

Equestrian Resident is kind of a sequel to The Nightwatch, which comes after The Unfavorite which comes after The Discarded son and that's after Bad News Apple. The clade chart on my blog shows this. Glad you enjoyed them.

What was the forematting issue? It looked alright.

Dafuq? That was... interesting.

Well now, that was unexpected. You just kinda-shipped Big Mac with a doll and managed to make it genuinely believable and somehow not creepy at all. I'm giving my screen the slow clap right now, sir.

Thank you. Something aobut this made me switch from crackship to "Let's make this actually touching." And I like to think I managed.

this was actually adorable XD

Once again, interesting. Once again, I enjoyed the story and the content. I also felt the character was built better here than in the last fic I reviewed by you.
The only hitch I had personally was the accent. I felt it was very overdone. I understand that this is the nearest interpretation people make of a heavy southern accent but it's rather annoying and sometimes difficult to read. I also noticed the misuse of "Ya'll" a couple of times there. That's something that bothers me because it's literally "you all" in a word. It was used quite commonly in this fic when only referring to one character.
Aside from that, yeah, good job again. Good luck next time.

Oh, also, not relevant to the fic per se but because it reminded me of this I thought I might share.

Actually, where I'm from, "Y'all" is singular, "All Y'all" Is the plural. :rainbowkiss:

Man, I don't know how to feel about this crushing, tragic romance. There were feelings just ... flying all over the place.

But I definitely don't regret reading it.
To be honest, I've always been a fan of this particular couple.

I have this... sort of idea, about Big Mac going on his hero's journey to find a legendary creature that could, maybe, bring Smarty-Pants to life, forever.

Such a strong ending :fluttershysad:

I've never understood MacinPants shipping, but this was very nice. :) Would probably be along the lines of what I'd do with the concept, if I ever wanted to write it.

It's a quick bit of crackshipping based on his heart-y reaction after the spell was broken. And then... I decided "No. This deserves better than crackshipping." I legitimized the buck out of this.:rainbowdetermined2::coolphoto:
