Actually nice content · 9:58am Feb 5th, 2020

Have a look at this lovliness.

Remember a while back when I made some Hearths' Warming content, the pony version of Santa and the Krampus. It was a nice thing, a happy thing. The opposite of caribou and zebras. And I finally got something drawn on that subject. The Hearthkeeper, Kampfite, and their Pooka wives Klåsa and Kråmpa.

Have a happy thing to make your day bright!

Why I stopped (and might not restart) · 4:11pm Oct 20th, 2019

It's a short answer. They broke me. Given some replies in the past, I can actually say to some readers, you broke me.

I finally found it · 9:44am Oct 1st, 2019

Way back when, at the start of the Fall there was one specific image I was mining for context before I had more primary sources. It colored the entire perception of the caribou and gave rise to the ultra-harsh depictions as literal Nazis, and also why I hammer their racism so hard. If you happen to notice, all the women are ponies, and some men as well. Other species don't exist EXCEPT acceptable outsiders like Zecora and Gilda, who are naturally sexualized and hated by incels because they have

A popular setting for horror anything is the haunted asylum. See, it was filled with crazy people. Crazy people are all sociopathic professional serial killers, and when they die they all turn into ghosts with have an insatiable drive to kill stupid teenagers. Nevermind that the inmates of asyla generally had even fewer rights and protections than even regular prisoners for a ridiculously long time, and the mentally "normal" staff would visit unspeakable torment on them, or allow others to do

Help needed from Fallout: New Vegas fans · 5:18am Aug 1st, 2019

It's no secret I'm a strong Black Isle fanboy. I believe in the purity of Fallout one and two. It had the retrofuturistic feel and look of the old atompunk pulps, the senseless exuberance and clean lines of streamline moderne and Googie mixed with B-Movie sci-fi and all the little idiot lies that made it fun. There was a frivolousness to it. A joyous abandon when designs aped Mad Max, when people unironically used words like supermutants and ghouls. It was Omega Man and Forbidden Planet, even

Need a proofer, soon · 6:41am Apr 7th, 2019

I'm going to try and jump-start my creativity with a fresh project, a Zootopia neo-noir/modern noir story based around drugs and the associated criminality and misery (appropriate, given the movie.) There won't be much on-screen violence. Implied deaths, off screen death, maybe some assaults and softer deaths. No gore and bloody pulp is what I mean. It's not hard mature, more medium mature. Expect a lot of music references, I plan to make a lot of nods toward swing and rockabilly.

Defending Hate · 5:39pm May 27th, 2018

Did you know that hate is not the opposite of love? It's true. They're not a binary, but on the spectrum of passions. The opposite of both is actually indifference. It's one thing to love or hate something. But if you genuinely don't give a damn, that's a pretty terrible thing. That's cold. That's real "hatred" in the sense that most mean. "I will not be ignored" is a cry for investment, for emotion. "Yes, you will be" is the most hurtful response. As I understand it, that's the existential

If Pinkie Pie made a kid's show · 11:09pm Feb 6th, 2018

I've been binge-watching this series on Netflix called P. King Duckling. It's the antithesis of modern kid's programming, excising all cynicism and cruel hipsterism and replacing it with pure surrealist humor in all cases where cynicism would be the usual response. They also break the fourth wall for running gags and meta jokes, and have a bizarre cast of curious characters. I'll admit, my favorite is the bakery weasel. Her sole mission in life is to marry a big gorilla, to the point that in

On Zebras · 3:19am Jan 30th, 2018

I was going to say "Screw 'em" but that's not fair.

But fie and damnation on those that write about them. I think the proportions have tipped, such that more are being racist asshats than not and the broad brush is less of a problem.

Birthday! · 11:09pm Oct 11th, 2017

It's late and a bit understated but it's a fact. I'm kind of low-key anyhow, as is probably apparent.

I hope you all have a great day!
